That line hits differently for me going into 2027.

I can admit it: I feel behind in 2026. But some of that feeling comes from unnecessary judgment, judgment of myself, judgment of my community, and comparing where we are to where I think we should be.

Maybe the bigger battle isn’t always with the people around us. Sometimes, we’re at war with ourselves.

In 2027, I want to move differently.

Walk by faith, not by sight.
Choose unity over unnecessary division.
Give myself grace while still holding myself accountable.
Give my community that same grace.
Stop judging everybody’s chapter based on where I think they should be.

We have enough battles outside of us. We don’t need to keep creating wars within ourselves and among each other.

2027: Faith. Unity. Purpose. Progress.

One voice. One step. One purpose.

Visiting family in Haiti was an unforgettable experience. Walking down the street, everyone was excited to see you. I enjoyed treats, bonbons, and ice cream. It was a chance to connect with family, some of whom I still haven't met.
