The USS Iowa Museum in San Pedro, California, recently experienced heavy storms. Marine Fenders International’s Ocean Guard Netless foam filled fenders were installed in 2005, are in excellent condition, and continue to protect the ship.
According to the https://lnkd.in/gwJcUfdK these fenders protected the great ship during these storms. The article writes how Marine Fender’s product is “the main fender between the ship and the pier.”
Throughout the article’s entirety, Marine Fender’s product is praised for its quality and ability to withstand the relentless storm. “As you may have heard, the recent Pacific storms wreaked havoc along the California Coast and resulted in some significant damage. Battleship IOWA was not immune to the storms’ effects.
Record-breaking swells – including the highest wave recorded in the area in twenty-four years – worked our lines until they were loose enough for the ship to move back and forth through a range of about fifteen feet (about double a normal distance).
If that wasn’t enough, the ship was rolling side to side. All of that motion made it feel like she was doing her best to get underway, and the sailors among us felt like they were at sea again.”

Vancouver Airport Fuel Facilities Corporation (VAFFC), a consortium that serves the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), is building an aviation fuel delivery system for YVR.
The new delivery system includes a Marine Terminal and Fuel Receiving Facility on the South Arm of the Fraser River in Canada.
Marine Fenders International designed and manufactured two Ocean Guard™ Donut Fenders for this project. They are equipped with specially designed mooring crowns that will be used to attach the spill boom for this project. These Ocean Guard™ Donut Fenders rise and fall with the changing tides, thus maintaining the spill boom in its optimal location at all tides.
With a secure and long-term competitive fuel supply, the project will help ensure that YVR remains a key economic generator and critical part of British Columbia's role as Canada's Pacific Gateway.
