Comets of the Week: Sophomore Alex Bozhilov claimed the Lone Star Conference title in the 10,000 meters, winning by more than 23 seconds while breaking his own school record and earning All-LSC First Team honors. Freshman Saniya Bosby recorded a school record in the high jump with a fifth-place finish at the conference championships and also placed 10th in the long jump for the Comets ☄️

Comets of the Week: Savannah Vanderpool delivered 10.1 scoreless innings of relief to help the Comets split with #15 Oklahoma Christian, earning the win in an 11-inning thriller. On the track, Blake Rippy broke his own long jump record and helped power two record-setting relay performances at the SMU Invite ☄️

This Tuesday our student-athletes were honored to be included in a major meeting with campus leaders and UT System officials. The meeting showcased the strong partnership between athletics and campus leadership, with highlights on NCAA Presidents Academic Award and a progress update on D2 membership. We’re excited to build on this momentum with UTD administrators and campus leaders as we champion student-athlete success ☄️

Comets of the Week:
Sophomore Brooke Yount was the individual Medalist at the 2026 Lone Star Conference Championships in Rockwall. She won the tournament by four shots after firing a third-round 66, which also set a new school record for best round. She also broke the three-round school record with a 75-68-66=209 (-7) and recorded 10 birdies and 10 eagles overall. Yount was added to the All-LSC First Team. She shattered the school record for most eagles in a season and a career in 2025-26 with five on the year.
Junior Hunter Wolfinger led the Comets by tying for 13th place at the Lone Star Conference Championships in Rockwall. He recorded a 72-77-77=226 (+10) with nine birdies. Wolfinger’s was in third place after shooting an even par in the first round.

Comets of the Week: Junior forward Jordan Balderaz powered UT Dallas with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and a block in the 95-66 win over Dallas Christian, shooting 8-for-10 overall and 3-for-5 from three. Balderaz now sits at 52.9% from deep this season. Umi Otsuka led the Comets with 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting in their matchup vs Northeastern State with 4 assists and a block. Otsuka leads UT Dallas with 16.2 PPG and 35 assists
