RIVER VALLEY INVITE

congrats to the middle school boys team for continuing their win streak and this time winning out of 22 teams!!

the HS girls team placed 8th in a stacked field—their highest finish at this meet in over a decade 👏

the HS boys team finished 6th, beating several d1 schools and running several PRs in the process 🥳

medal winners: owen drier (3rd), margaret lawless (17th), pearl fretz (20th), luke fretz (5th), and levi fretz (10th)

rc-i cross country isn’t messing around ‼️

PR & RUNNER OF THE WEEK ALERT

congrats to our runners who ran PRs on tuesday! top PRs go to aiden (1 min 44 seconds), ben w (24 seconds), atley (1 min 10 seconds), and clare (47 seconds) 🥳

HS runners of the week: brayden burns ran sub-18 for the first time and led a pack of rc-i runners to the finish line, while ava martin medaled at viroqua and helped the girls to a 2nd place finish with a top-10 performance at boscobel!

MS runners of the week: liam rogers won a medal on thursday and ran a huge PR on the course on tuesday, and mercy fretz took first overall at viroqua with a commanding race from start to finish!

biggest improvements for middle schoolers from the viroqua course last year: liam (1 min 6 seconds), frank (1 min 24 seconds), and atley (2 min 16 seconds) 🥳

three high school runners also ran PRs in the heat on thursday: ben s (3 seconds), james c (12 seconds), and ben w (40 seconds)!

it was a hot one but the team SHOWED up!

congrats to the middle school boys for getting the win! high school boys placed second and high school girls placed third!

PR ALERT & RUNNERS OF THE WEEK

congrats to our runners who ran PRs on saturday! top two PRs were brayden burns (50 seconds) and sam harpin (35 seconds) 🥳

HS runners of the week: addie finished in the top 10 for a medal and led the girls team to victory, and ben helped the boys team to a win and ran close to a PR!

MS runners of the week: nicholas earned a top 25 finish in his first ever xc race and frank ran his first top 10 finish to help the boys to a win!

starting off strong with wins for the boys & girls high school teams and the middle school boys team!

owen drier and pearl fretz were both individual champs in their respective races 🥳
