Weekend update for Pad Holder Race #1 and #2
We had 2 drivers competing this weekend, Ryan Beightol would be running the KA100 SR. With Yutaka Sonto pulling Double Duty for the weekend with 60cc and JR1 206.
Saturday both drivers had speed with Ryan putting it on Pole, was able to end the day 2nd. Yutaka doing Double Duty had a real up and down weekend. In the 60cc qualified 16th and drove all the way up to 6th gaining 10 positions from quali. The JR1 206 was a different story he qualified 7th and with some smart driving, he was able to finish out his first Padholder day with a Podium!
Sunday was a new day and brought new challenges. Ryan had issues in Quali and couldn’t get a perfect lap in and ended up P5, then the heat race brought engine issues. Ended up not finishing the main due to a blown motor. Yutaka was out in Quali in the JR1 and the 60cc was outside the top 10. With some AMAZING driving he drove all the way back up from 12th to 3rd in JR1. He would finish out the weekend with 2 podiums for his first ever Pad Holder Weekend.
Overall super proud of both Drivers, they both over came challenges and stayed with their eye on the prize. They both showed determination when the odds were against them, and it paid off!
