Sore = good workout” is one of the biggest lies in fitness 🚫
Let’s clear something up 👇
Soreness (aka DOMS) is just your body’s response to something NEW — not something EFFECTIVE.
👉 You can be extremely sore from:
• Doing random exercises your body isn’t used to
• Using poor movement patterns
• Going way too hard, too fast
• Chasing fatigue instead of progress
And guess what? None of that guarantees results.
Now here’s the truth 👇
Progress comes from:
✅ Consistency over time
✅ Progressive overload (getting stronger, not just more tired)
✅ Better movement quality
✅ Training with intention, not emotion
You don’t need to feel destroyed after every workout to be getting better.
In fact… if you’re constantly sore, it’s probably slowing you down:
❌ Harder to recover
❌ Lower performance next session
❌ Higher risk of injury
❌ Less consistency overall
