The Joffrey Ballet will be dancing through Richmond Hill before we know it! But, who is The Joffrey Ballet? 💙

The Joffrey Ballet ranks as one of the premier dance companies in the world! They are based in Chicago, Illinois and train their company of about 40 dancers in classical as well as contemporary Ballet styles. Notable choreographers that have worked with the company over the years include Twyla Tharp and George Balanchine!

Summer is winding down and we thought we would welcome Fall in style! 🍂

For the next two weeks, dancers are invited to celebrate with our Fall Theme Weeks in class. Beginning September 14th, show off your most favorite color! Then, beginning September 21st, bust out those silly socks. ✨

Please ensure any outfits or accessories worn during theme weeks are safe and practical for dancing. 💙

On August 27th, 1955 the first Guinness Book of World Records was published. On August 27th, 1985 the Space Shuttle Discovery launched it's 20th mission.

Out of all the incredible things that have taken place on August 27th, our personal favorite here at LMDS has to be that our fearless leader, Teresa Merritt, was born on this day. ✨

She is grace. She is unconditional love. She is power. She is light. She is everyone's biggest cheerleader. She will catch you when you fall and be right there with you when you try again. Today, we get to be her biggest cheerleader.
