Do you pressure yourself to perform at a flawless level or feel like a failure when you make a mistake? ⁠

Do you set high expectations for yourself or others? ⁠

If so, you most likely wrestle with perfectionism, which is the desire to strive for flawlessness, hyperfocus on others’ perceptions, and being overly self-critical. Perfectionism can lead to a paralyzing fear of failure and, if left unchecked, can contribute to chronic stress and burnout. ⁠

The reality is none of us will walk through life perfectly. At some point, missing the mark and failure is inevitable. ⁠

Failure is a normal part of life. Expect disappointments and allow adversity to become a catalyst for growth. ⁠

Failure isn’t fatal, nor does it mean that you are a failure. ⁠

⁠Failure is temporary feedback to adjust, pivot, and grow. ⁠

🎯 Tip: Learn to reframe “failure” as “feedback.” ⁠

⁠Learn from your mistakes and disappointments, and keep going.⁠

It’s how you recharge your batteries so you can come back to your work with energy, creativity, and a fresh set of eyes.

Because you’re not a Tesla or a cellphone that can be plugged in.

Micro pauses throughout your day is a simple way to improve your well-being.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed or stuck when life feels difficult.

A few things that have been helpful to me when life feels consuming:

🎯 First, show yourself grace and compassion.

🎯 Focus on what you can control. What are 3 actions you can take?

Ask yourself...

🎯 What is the silver lining or lesson in the challenge?

🎯 How can I grow through this?

🎯 What are 3 good things that can come from this?

🎯 Who do I trust that can help me see things from a different vantage point?

🎯 Keep going! Sometimes, all you can do is put one foot in front of the other.

As Mel Robbins brilliantly pointed out on her podcast this week, Nike's slogan is famous for one word in the phrase: JUST do it.

We always have a choice to keep moving forward.
