That’s a Wrap on the 2026 District 36 Baseball & Softball Seasons

With our final All-Star team finishing its tournament run, the book officially closes on another spring and summer of Little League baseball and softball across Texas East District 36.

It started months ago on fields throughout our district — practices after school, weeknight games, Saturday mornings at the ballpark and countless hours of work behind the scenes. It ended with District 36 teams competing deep into the summer at sectional, state and regional tournaments.

None of it happens without the people who give so much of their time.

Thank you to the volunteers who opened concession stands, prepared fields, kept score, served on boards and handled the hundreds of jobs most people never see.

Thank you to our coaches and managers for the hours spent teaching the game and helping our players grow.

Thank you to our umpires for being there game after game and making it possible for our kids to compete.

Thank you to the parents and families for the rides to practice, late nights, early mornings, packed coolers, dirty uniforms and endless support from the stands.

And most importantly, thank you to our players. You gave us a season filled with great baseball and softball, memorable moments and plenty for District 36 to be proud of.

From the first pitch of the spring to the final out of the All-Star season, thank you for another incredible year of Little League baseball in District 36. ⚾🥎

Tonight, our season came to an end against a tough Texas West team. While the loss hurts, we couldn’t be more proud of these boys and everything they accomplished this season.

To our players — What a run! You battled, believed in each other, picked each other up, and showed what it means to be a team. The growth, determination, friendships, and memories you made along the way are so much bigger than any final score. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Lamar Little League’s remarkable summer came to a close Sunday night in Waco with a 3-2 loss to Texas West champion Boerne Little League at the Southwest Region Tournament.

Lamar battled all the way through District 36, Section IV and the Texas East State Tournament before reaching the Southwest Region stage as the Texas East champion.

Congratulations to the players, coaches and families on an outstanding postseason run and for representing District 36 at the highest levels of Little League Baseball this summer. ⚾

Lamar Little League is back on the field tonight in Waco, continuing its run through the Little League Baseball Southwest Region Tournament.

After a 12-2 win over Arkansas on Saturday, the Texas East champions will meet Boerne Little League for the second time in the tournament — this time with the winner advancing and the losing team eliminated.

Lamar defeated Boerne 10-3 in the opening round. Now the two Texas champions meet again with a spot in Monday’s semifinal on the line.

Lamar Little League responded in a big way Saturday, defeating Arkansas representative Junior Deputy Little League 12-2 at the Southwest Region Tournament in Waco.

The win keeps Lamar alive in the elimination bracket and sends the Texas East champions on to the next round.
