🚨 BIG NEWS! ALL HER. ALL SKILLS. ALL AGES. 🚨

We are proud to announce and launch through The Powhatan Ice Den's Women's Hockey Club the ALL HER, ALL SKILLS, ALL AGES, developmental hockey program! Thanks to our sponsor Wawa, this 8 week program is completely FREE! Our partnership with the Washington Capitals ALL CAPS ALL HER initiative will help continue the work of getting more women in hockey. Special thanks to our team of ALL HER coaches, assistants, and to PEAK Performance Power Skating.

🏒 ALL HER: Open to all women and led by all women.
🏒 ALL SKILLS: Whether you're starting out, getting back into hockey, or just want to practice your skills with other women, this clinic is for you!
🏒 ALL AGES: Open to all women age 6 and up.

This is a learn-to-play and hockey developmental program, not learn-to-skate.

The clinic will start January 8th and continue biweekly for 8 weeks following each Women's Club 3v3 game. Space is limited. Registration is required via our website: powhataniceden.com/schedule.

PEAK is pleased to welcome Coach Nathan Shellberg to our coaching staff! Coach Shellberg started playing hockey when he was 3-years-old in Minnesota. He played for the USPHL Richmond Generals as a top level defenseman for a total of 3 seasons (2015-2018). His strong skills and leadership on and off the ice earned him the title of Alternate Captain for 2 of those seasons and he was selected as a USP3 All Star in 2017.

We are so excited to have Coach Shellberg join the PEAK team. Stay tuned for the announcement of PEAK clinics very soon!

Raya Willoughby has figured skated for over 20 years and is a 4-time Malaysian National Champion, representing her country on the international circuit. She began coaching hockey over 12 years ago and has worked with players of all ages and skill levels. Willoughby has elite expertise in coaching power skating and has worked with numerous players that have gone on to play in the USPHL, NAHL, ACHA, NCAA, FPHL, EIHL, AHL, and NHL.⁣

During 2015-2018, Willoughby was the Power Skating Coach of the Penn State Men’s D1 Hockey Team as well as Head Power Skating Coach for Pegula Ice Arena’s 8U, 10U, and 18U Skills Clinics. Currently, Willoughby is the Power Skating Coach for the Richmond Generals USPHL Elite and Premier teams. ⁣

Willoughby is passionate about improving player abilities through breaking-down gameplay and she strives to keep players engaged and having fun while pushing them to their limits. Willoughby creates individualized lesson players for players for 1-on-1 instruction as well as group and team practices. ⁣
