Come explore the Japanese sword arts with us! Beginner friendly to those 16 years old and up. Classes are operated out of the RVA Katana location at 1909 W.
The Japanese Sword Arts Study program is open to all individuals ages 16 and up, interested in exploring and discovering more about the legendary sword martial arts of Japan. Many thanks to the incredibly talented Miki Yomura for her Koto perfomance after class, joined by the wonderful calligraphy artist Kyomi Takahashi. Thank you for sharing your cultural arts with us. We are more than just trained fighting monkeys, and exploring the history, culture, language, philosophies, and arts help us to better understand and appreciate what we study at a deeper level.
