I'm really done with FB. Sometime within the next week, I will delete both my Eastshore Aikikai page and my personal FB page, and close my account.

It's a bittersweet parting: I will miss what FB used to be. But it has grown less and less interesting, and I no longer trust it.

Renowned teachers from Birankai and Aikikai will be giving classes at Athens Aikido 30 & 31 March before continuing at OAKA Olympic stadium for the weekend of April 1 & 2.

Yoshimitsu Yamada, Who Brought Aikido to the U.S., Dies at 84 He emphasized the basics of the Japanese martial art, and he encouraged his students to develop their own interpretations of it.

John Gussman was a respected, dedicated martial artist, and the beloved husband of friend and colleague Maureen Browne. He was a lovely, gentle man.
