Oh hey party people! You ever have projects that sit for a long time, just waiting to get finished? This guy was hanging up in the shop for like four years. I have this 5/16 O1 steel that I couldn’t figure out what to do with. This stuff gets super hard. I forgot to countersink the rivet holes before hardening and I couldn’t get my bit to bite at all. Boy did this guy fight me every step of the way. The big boys do that.

Oh hey party people! This is the Star Weasel. It’s 80CrV2 steel with homebrewed dungaree micarta, G10 scales, and brass hardware. There will be a blog about this coming up but it’s been really hot. Is everyone drinking enough water? Try to get some electrolytes. Did you know sodium helps move water around the body? Electrolytes are important but always consult a medical professional, everyone is different.

Oh hey party people! Holy cats it’s been a minute! What have we been up to, you ask? Wellllll…..sometimes your individual health insurance premium doubles and then suddenly your part time job turns into your full time job and you lose your shop days in exchange for full-time benefits. Man, what a time to be alive!

Anyway we’ve got some stuff coming off the bench. This is the Star Weasel Centurion, in 80CrV2 steel. Handle is Desert Ironwood and homebrewed dungaree micarta (believe it or not the pants were an olive drab hue but polished up to this navy with a hint of green). With G10 spacers and brass hardware.

Shoutout to our barber Dot, who we did a knife for earlier this summer. She liked it so much she got it tattooed on her face. Dot has been keeping us looking fresh for the past dozen or so years and is a dear friend to the shop- much love .
