WaterWorks Swim Club

Dear Swimmers and Parents,
This letter is to inform you that WaterWorks Swim Club will be ending effective immediately. This decision was not made lightly and not made without a lot of research/discussions with local teams, Indiana Swimming, and USA Swimming. We initially planned to keep it running through the winter this year, but with delays in the Tiano pool construction and the current financial health of the team, it is not feasible. My wife, Veronica and I have enjoyed running the team over the last year and getting to know all of these swimmers. It truly has been one of the best experiences of my life coaching this team. I have spoken with Darren Ridenour over the last year. I believe in his program and have watched the success of his swimmers over the last year. He is the head coach/owner of Archway Swim Club. I have emailed with Michele Deluna from Indiana Swimming in regards to the process of moving the athletes over to Archway or any other USA Swimming team. As long as there has been 60 days from their last competition date, there is no issue. Our last meet was divisionals on July 31, 2022, so everyone has already completed their 60 day period. Thank you to all the parents that have paid on time and have helped with the team over the last year. A special thank you to Pat Heiny who has made this team work. This team would not have been possible without her.

Hello Swimmers!
We are very sorry for the delay in forwarding information. The Taino pool is currently undergoing construction. We had hoped that they’d be finished mid-October so that we could start our winter swim season. We are working to find a solution. We will let you all know once we figure something out. Thank you!

What a great end to an amazing season! We can’t wait to see you in the water again, Torpedos! 

Practice is cancelled this morning 7/27! Forecast shows 100% chance of rain.

We will be distributing ribbons and metals from the Union City meet at practice tomorrow!

Our last day of summer swim practice will be Thursday, July 28th!

Today was Coach Ben’s last practice for the summer. He will be moving to California ☀️ to continue his college education! Thank you for the great memories and awesome coaching. We will miss you and we wish you the best! ❤️

The meet tomorrow is being held at the Union City Public Pool. Please arrive by 8:30am so that we can begin our warmups promptly. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and having a fun meet!
