Strength training plays an important role in our lives at every age by making us stronger, more flexible and decreasing our risk of injury and falls. It becomes even more important as we approach our thirties. Without the benefit of regular strength training, we can expect muscle mass to decrease anywhere between 3-8% per decade after the age of 30 and even more after the age of 60.

“I’m 40 years old and have never lifted weights. I can’t start now.” We hear this a lot. Many of our members come to us with no lifting experience. Strength training is important. Strength training with good form is a must. Our experienced coaches will guide you through proper technique on weighted movements, keeping you safe. You’ll learn new skills (good for your brain!) and build confidence with every rep.

Learning how to properly lift weights has many benefits for teens including increased lean muscle mass and bone density, as well as improved athletic performance. Mentally, strength training can reduce stress and build self esteem. With our coaches supervision, teens get the guidance they need to learn how to train safely with correct form.
