I’m seeking someone who knows how to sew to join my mobile upholstery team. The work is on-site, 1-2 days each week at gyms, dental and physical therapy offices located all around Richmond.

Minimal sewing experience is necessary as I’m willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will need to be dependable, positive, good with time management, and not afraid of waking up early.

The work is typically on a Friday or Saturday and one weekday (either a Monday or Thursday). Perfect for a student, parent, retiree, maker or artist who’s always wanted to learn a trade and be given true hands-on-how-to instruction.

Pay is between $18-$40 per hour + bonus pay.

My family's woodworking and restoration shop, Tinker &Co., is looking to hire a few full-time employees for the following entry-level positions: Furniture Assembly, Pick-up and delivery, and Furniture stripping.

Duties will vary from day to day to include but not limited to: pick-up and delivery, furniture disassembly/assembly, assisting with stripping, finish prep work, brass cleaning etc. Experience in woodworking is helpful, but not required.

We're looking for someone who is focused, detail oriented, works neatly, has integrity and cares about the quality of their work.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and the pay range, which is commensurate with your experience, varies between $12-$20 per hour.

It didn’t make sense to reupholster the entire seat on this dental chair because of a tiny tear. So, I created a tailor-made sleeve that slipped over the existing seat. It saved the owners a ton of money and added an extra layer of durability to the bottom.
