HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL
With 10 strikeouts on Thursday in a win over North Laurel in Richmond, Madison Central junior Kate Drury surpassed 200 strikeouts on the season

She is the first Central pitcher with 200 strikeouts in a season since Abigail Mayes (222) in 2019

Drury has a 15-5 record this season with a 1.45 ERA
In 125 innings, the junior has 203 strikeouts and just 22 walks

Too cold for softball. Perfect day for some team bonding! The girls thought we were just having practice tonight. Getting them on a bus without raising suspicion was a challenge. They were very surprised as the bus pulled into the Countdown Games. We all escaped. Now let the season begin.
