Richmond Yacht Club, Pt.Richmond California

Last weekend RYC hosted the US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Course. Course instructors were Craig Perez and Jana Odou. This cohort worked three full days (mostly 11 hours/day).

It was hard work but very worth the effort.

At this weekend's Volunteer Work Day, over 50 members helped spruce up the Club, seal the West Lot fence, paint downspouts on the harbor master building, clean out the impound yard, trim up the landscaping, and many other tasks. The old leaky events storage container was cleared to make way for a new one. A great BBQ was enjoyed by all.

This club was built for fun, but actually built and cared for by volunteers..thank you for making it a beautiful place to be.

RYC Beer Can, May 27, 2026. Nice steady wind, until there wasn't. Note to self, don't say this will be a quick race. Boats at the end of the fleet didn't have as fast a ride home as expected.
