We will be open tonight! Carlton Street is pretty clear, the parking lots are okay, and we have salted the sidewalk to our entrance. With (hopefully) some melting today, those should clear a bit more. Please use caution coming, going in, and leaving the fencing club, and use your own discretion. Please email us for info on makeup classes for intro courses. Thanks and be careful!
Unfortunately, the conditions have not improved enough to go forward with the planned tournament this weekend, the Tom Lucente Hangover Classic. I am working with the division on a possible reschedule.

Unfortunately, Carlton Street is still a bit of an ice rink, so we will have to close again this evening. We are still monitoring the conditions and weather for the tournament scheduled for this weekend. We will have an update by tomorrow.

After taking a field trip to RFC and seeing that the road, parking lot and sidewalks are solid sheets of ice, we have no choice but to close again tonight.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are going to remain closed Tuesday. With the below freezing temperatures and secondary roads still having issues, we want to keep our fencers, families and our staff safe. Stay home and warm and we will reopen tomorrow!

Deadline is tonight! Open foil could still use some fencers to turn it into a C event (another C would be great, but 5 more people would make it a C2 anyway). This is a great opportunity to help support Virginia collegiate fencing in your own backyard:
The City of Richmond is under a boil water advisory. Please bring water from home to drink if possible. We have bottled water available if needed.
Out of an abundance of caution and the possibility of freezing road conditions this evening, RFC will remain closed tonight, 2/20. If you need your equipment for this weekend, please contact us and we will make arrangements for Friday. Stay home, stay safe and look forward to seeing you in warmer temperatures next week!

Due to the impending winter weather happening later today, RFC has made the decision to close for Wednesday evening (2/19). Please stay home and be safe. Enjoy the snow, if that's your thing!
Due to inclement weather starting now, and continuing through the evening, we will be closed tonignt, February 11. Stay warm and we hope to see you tomorrow!!
