Had a great Thanksgiving with my family! 🦃❤️

Thinking about my Uncle Tony so much. Tomorrow we celebrate his life knowing that has left this world behind and is now in the loving embrace of God and my grandparents, aunt and uncles. He was generous and kind, thoughtful and intelligent. The consummate educator, he taught his younger siblings English at home so they wouldn’t get teased at school, taught kids throughout his career, taught adults at the local library, and of course, taught us the value of it all. As a senior in college trying to decide what to do next, he mailed me clippings of study words from the newspaper so I could prepare for my GRE exam. As adults, he and my sister and I had conversations about books we’d read and what our children were learning. My husband once asked me why uncle Tony didn’t have kids of his own, but to me, we were all his kids. 🩵

They say it’s National Daughter’s Day, so I’ll give a shout out to my very best one. Love you baby girl! 😍🥰😘

It’s Fall and softball season and college football season and pumpkin spice season and spooky season and all the best life things.

I would say, “I’m not crying, you’re crying!” But I’m definitely the one crying. 🥺😢😭First day of 5th grade and the last year of elementary school. Say it ain’t so!

This was the best face I could get out of her this morning. A far cry from the first day of kindergarten. 😭😭😭

Celebrating a new ‘22 do with a sweet treat. Since I may or may not have indulged over the holidays 🙄, I chose low cal sorbet. Still delicious abs still our favorite local place to acknowledge birthdays, haircuts abs everything in between.
P.S. am I the only one who never goes as short as you think you will when you go to the salon?

I blinked and this silly creature is somehow 10 years old. That’s a DECADE people! It’s enough years for me to know that even though the world changed instantly when she was born, she’s only made it better since. She makes me better too. Happiest of birthdays to my goofy, funny, sassy, smart as a whip, math-loving, off-key singing, master negotiator. I love you with all my heart Maggie. 💞🎂
