Slow and Steady to a Healthy Life with Andrea

Message me with questions about fitness, health or personal development. Attaining health and wellness is a process of daily, consistent activities.

I love the lesson we learn from The Tortoise and the Hare: "Slow and steady wins the race." We live in a time where we want instant gratification. Unfortunately our health doesn't work that way. It takes changing our mindset and reprioritizing our lives. I don't have some huge physical transformation story. What I do have is a change in the way I think. Until recently, I was a quitter. If one litt

Can’t believe there are only 2 days left of this 6 week program. I’m looking forward to doing another round. I will probably take a week off next week and do Shaun Week before jumping back in.

Anyone want to do it with me? Hard to come up with excuses when the workouts are only 20 minutes.

Just saying! If not now, when?!

I said a prayer this morning. I’ve been working towards making changes in my life, which is scary. Ones that require a lot of mental strength on my part.

The word “courage” stuck out at me in this passage. Then shortly after reading this I was listening/watching a Darren Hardy video and once again he used the word courage.

I think the Lord is trying to tell me to have courage. How does one develop courage??

I’m on week 3 of month 2 doing Insanity Max:30. Shaun T is my favorite Super Trainer. So excited for his new program coming in Jan!

“Every day you and I wake up, we face the same universal challenge: to overcome mediocrity and live to our full potential. It’s the greatest challenge in human history—to rise above our excuses, do what’s right, give our best and create the Level 10 life we truly want—the one with no limits, the one so few people ever get to live.” - Hal Elrod

A few things last, but most things won’t.

While out walking in the mornings I've seen this flag and wondered what it meant.

According to google:

"The Blue represents the officer and the courage they find deep inside when faced with insurmountable odds. The Black background was designed as a constant reminder of our fallen brother and sister officers."

I had never heard of or seen this before. I am truly grateful though for our law enforcement and the sacrifices they make for our safety.

Holy crap! Today may have been leg day, but my whole body is shaking!

I have got to figure out how to strengthen my grip. Trying to go heavy is hard when your hands are spent!

Hiit after lifting is killer!
