5/10/2024 -- CIF-SS Division 3 Prelims Meet

The sun was out and it was hot at Yorba Linda High School, and Burroughs had one thrower who qualified in both throwing events.
Senior Kyndra Shermer threw her best on the last throw at 101’ 02”. She finished in tenth place. Kyndra also tossed the shot out to 29’ 00”. She finished twenty-first place in the event. Great Effort!
Way to represent Burroughs! I’m proud of you and what you have done at CIF-SS Prelims. Saturday is the next meet for the Burros athletes who qualified for the CIF-SS Division 3 Championship Meet.

4/23 - Girls’ Throw of the Meet (2025 MRL Finals Meet) Senior Kyndra Shermer threw a new personal best of 32’ 07 ¼” in shot. Way to Throw Strong Kyndra!

04/23 -- 2025 Mojave River League Finals Meet

It was a cool and breezy day at Oak Hills High School for league finals, and Burroughs HS represented well at the meet.
For the Lady Throwers, senior Kyndra Shermer had a few good throws in the discus, won the event, with 101’ 04”. In shot put, Kyndra heaved a new personal best for shot put out to 32’ 07 ¼”. She took first-place, collected her second league title and qualified for CIF. Kyndra is a two time league champion in both events and was undefeated in league competition this year. Sophomore Katey Bailey also finished with a personal best in shot put with 26’ 09”. She took eighth-place in the event. Congratulations Ladies & way to Throw Strong!
On the boy’s squad, Senior Patrick Pillers threw the shot put out to 46’ 01 ½”. He finished fourth overall in the competition. For discus, he had a good series of throws with a best mark of 112’ 08” and placed eighth. Junior Michael Fehring put the shot 34’ 11 ½”. He finished twelfth overall. Nice effort Patrick & Michael!
