BEN NEAL BREAKS A FOUR SEASON WINLESS STREAK AND WINS AT MICHIGAN BY .005 SECONDS!!! The top four was separated by only .032 seconds, but Neal finally got the win he’s been so close to for so long. It is the second closest finish in ICAR history and Neal’s 7th career win. He is the 5th winningest driver in league history and it is awesome to see him back in victory lane. Another incredible race in what’s been an awesome season. We are off to Road Atlanta next week for the final road course race of the season!

COLLIN HENDERSHOT WINS AT KANSAS! In ICAR’s fifth trip the D shaped oval in Kansas, Hendershot beat Alex Offenbach to the line by only .028 seconds. Offenbach and Christopher Lake were two unlikely guys that almost earned their first win and had great runs. Corbin Balke led much of the race and was battling with CJ Hardin coming to the white flag, when the two made contact and triggered a huge pileup in turn one. Hendershot snuck through and earned his second win of the season.

KYFFIN SIMPSON DOMINATES AT ST. PETE EN ROUTE TO HIS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON! Simpson has led laps in every race so far this season and now holds a 13 point lead over defending champion Corbin Balke. Simpson won the pole, led every lap, and lapped nearly the entire field in one of the most dominant performances in league history. With 2 wins, 4 podiums, and 5 top tens through 5 races, the championship clearly runs through the Muffin Man.

CORBIN BALKE BEATS CJ HARDIN TO THE LINE BY .04 SECONDS AT GATEWAY! Balke earned his 38th career win after a race that saw many different leaders fighting for the top spot. Alex Palou would speed on pit road during the final green flag stop, and Kyffin Simpson hit the wall after slight contact with Balke on the final lap.

So far this season has produced incredible racing, and next week we look to continue that on the streets of St. Petersburg!

Nash Fry deserves a quick shoutout after his heartbreaking loss this past Tuesday. Nash was leading on the final lap in the 2021 Indy 200 and got caught up in a wreck ending his chances at the win. This year might’ve been even more heartbreaking, as he had the lead on the final lap under caution, and ran out of fuel in turn 3. Fry is destined to win the Indy 250 in ICAR and will be a favorite headed into next year.

COLLIN HENDERSHOT DOMINATES AT THE INDY ROAD COURSE FOR HIS FIRST WIN SINCE SEASON 11! Hendershot showed off his road course prowess by qualifying on pole by over four tenths of a second, and then went on to lead the most laps and beat Kyffin Simpson by over a second. We are happy to have Hendershot back and he showed everyone early that he’s a force to be reckoned with in Season 13.

RYAN CAMINITI GETS HIS FIRST CAREER WIN AND IT COMES IN THE BIGGEST RACE OF THE YEAR! Caminiti has been so close multiple times, and was finally able to seal the deal after Nash Fry ran out of fuel under caution on the final lap, giving the lead over to Caminiti. It was a six car battle to the lead after a restart with under 15 to go, that saw the lead change 5 times in 6 laps. Corbin Balke and Kyffin Simpson came up just short finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Over 1/3 of the field led a lap in the race and 90% of the race was run under green with multiple green flag stops. One of the best ICAR races in recent memory.

For winning this race, RC will be awarded with an authentic Culver Block autographed by Alex Palou and Kyffin Simpson.
