Arthur's Pulling Started with a small block brush truck working my way to the pro league

10/04/2026

Pulled into Hillsboro today to hook with the Southwest Wisconsin Pullers, and I’ve gotta say — what an amazing facility!

Wasn’t exactly thrilled about being the first class down the track for the day 😂 but we came to pull, so we went to work!

Tried a few new things with the truck today, and she definitely seemed to like them. The track was rough and bumpy, but this thing was grabbing everything she could get ahold of and fighting for every inch. 💪

Overall, I couldn’t ask for a much better day. The truck ran great, the changes seem to be heading us in the right direction, and we got to cap it all off with a 1ST PLACE FINISH! 🥇🏁

Another little piece of the puzzle figured out and another good day of learning what this truck wants.

Thanks to the Southwest Wisconsin Pullers and everyone at Hillsboro for putting on a great event!

We’ll take the win and keep digging!

First off, a BIG thank you to the Viola Horse & C**t Show and everyone involved for putting on an awesome event! 🏁👏 We had a great weekend and really appreciate all the work that goes into making a show like this happen.

I brought my truck along to jump in with the Super Stocks, and after everything we’ve been through lately, I was just excited to get this thing back on the track!

Since the last outing we’ve been busy…

🔧 Replaced a weak valve spring
⚙️ Found and fixed a broken front ring & pinion
🔩 Fixed a broken rear U-joint
🔥 Changed the plugs
🛢️ Fresh oil
🛠️ Reshimmed the clutch

So needless to say, when I finally fired it up and rolled toward the track, I was pretty damn excited to see what we had!

The good news—the truck RAN and PERFORMED GREAT! 💪🔥

The bad news…

I think the driver left a little to be desired. 😂🤦‍♂️

I definitely learned a few valuable lessons on this one. We didn’t place where I wanted to, but honestly, after everything we found and fixed, seeing the truck run the way it should again was a big step in the right direction.

And there was no shortage of competition. This was probably the toughest group of Super Stock trucks I’ve lined up against yet, and I appreciate the opportunity to run with them and have some fun! There’s no better way to figure out where you need to improve than lining up against some of the best. 💪

Oh, and there was one more first for me this weekend…

They auctioned off the Super Stock trucks to help raise money for the event. 😂 I’ve never been auctioned off before, and apparently the market wasn’t exactly booming for me because I didn’t bring a very high bid! 🤣🤣

Understandable after seeing the results! 😂

Either way, we learned, the truck is healthy, and we’re still moving in the right direction.

Keep digging. Keep learning. Keep making it better. 🏁🔥

Finally, it was time for Dad’s Altered Gas Finals! 🏁🔥

By this point it was getting LATE. The crowd was starting to thin out and it had been a long weekend, but we still had our eyes on the prize. 🏆

After getting that extra hook earlier in the night, we took what we learned, made our decisions, and decided it was time to swing hard at the track. No playing it safe—we came to win.

And Dad DELIVERED! 💪🔥

He took the WIN in the finals and brought home the Altered Gas trophy! 🏆🥇

The truck ran GREAT, the changes worked, and Dad flat-out did some driving! Couldn’t have asked for a much better weekend for that truck. Two wins Saturday night and a hell of a way to finish it off!

A HUGE thank you to Viola Horse and C**t Show and everyone involved for putting on such a great event. We had an awesome time, got to run against some tough competition, and really appreciate all the work that goes into making a weekend like this happen! 👏🏁

That wraps up Dad’s side of the weekend…

But I still had my turn in the Super Stock class. 👀

Let’s just say… my night didn’t go quite as well as Dad’s. 😂🤦‍♂️

That story is coming next… 🍿

Saturday night started off with a little last-minute game planning! 😎🏁

The Altered Gas finals were going to be one of the last classes of the night, and with the track looking WAY better than Friday, I wanted Dad to get a hook on it beforehand so we could see what we were working with.

We asked what other class we could jump into and were told Outlaw Gas Small Tire was the place to go.

Well… that class ended up being 3 trucks and 3 MEAN-ASS tractors! 😂🔥🚜

So we threw a couple last-minute Hail Mary changes at the truck, crossed our fingers, and sent Dad down the track.

And wouldn’t you know it…

HE TOOK THE WIN! 🏆🔥

Not only did we get the extra pass we wanted to learn the track, Dad walked away with another 1st place AND a trophy!

Hell of a way to start Saturday night—but the big one was still coming.

Now it was time to make a few decisions, get the truck ready, and line up for the Altered Gas Finals! 👀🏁

Stay tuned… 😎

We made the trip up to the Viola Horse & C**t Show this weekend to see how we stacked up against some seriously tough competition! 💪🏁

This was Dad’s first hook of the weekend in the Altered Gas class, and there was a little extra pressure on this one—it was a qualifying hook for Saturday. Only the top 5 would move on to pull the next day for a trophy and some extra money.

The track Friday night wasn’t exactly where I wanted it, but we made the best of what we had and put together a solid pass.

Dad came out on top and took the WIN Friday night! 🏆🔥

That punched our ticket into Saturday’s Top 5 shootout. One hook down… now it was time to see what we could do when it really counted! 😎

Stay tuned for Saturday’s hook! 🍿🏁

Hook #2 with Fantasy… and apparently I hadn’t learned my lesson yet. 😂

Not a whole lot of improvement on the scoreboard, but at least the track got better! This time we managed to move up to 2nd to last… so technically, we’re going in the right direction. 🤣

It was definitely a learning curve tonight. I tried some new things, made a few questionable decisions, and the truck still wasn’t quite where it needed to be.

BUT… we did find part of the problem. 👀

After finding that weak valve spring, at least we know we weren’t completely chasing ghosts. Now we’ve got some homework to do, some things to fix, and hopefully a little less tuition to pay next time. 😂

That’s pulling — sometimes you win, sometimes you learn, and sometimes you do both while going backwards. 💪🔥

09/09/2026

Well… this was my FIRST hook of the night with Fantasy, and let’s just say I decided to donate a little tuition money to the pulling gods. 😂

I made a couple questionable decisions, tried out a new theory, and unfortunately… the theory struck out. 🤣 To make matters worse, we were surrounded by some of the toughest trucks around, so there wasn’t exactly any room for error.

We ended up dead last, and honestly, the truck just didn’t feel like it was 100%. Something definitely wasn’t right.

The next day, I gave her a full health check and found the culprit — one seriously weak valve spring😳

So while the result definitely wasn’t what we wanted, I’m damn glad we caught it now instead of finding out the hard way on the next pass. Could’ve turned a bad night into a REALLY expensive night. 💸😂

Everybody has to pay tuition eventually… I guess I just decided to make a payment tonight. 😂

Back to the shop, fix what needs fixing, and get this thing ready to go again. You win some, you lose some — but we’re learning every time we hook! 💪🔥

🏆 1ST PLACE IN THE BIG BLOCK CLASS! 🏆

This was Dad’s second hook of the night in the Big Block class, and we put together one hell of a run!

We were asked to run the hitch as long as it would go and leave the hitch height 1 inch low. On top of that, we were running without a weight bar, so we knew we were leaving some on the table.

But Dad went out there and got the job done! 💪🔥

The truck is still very fresh and has a long way to go, but it’s moving in the right direction with every hook. Getting a win this early in the new setup makes it even more exciting to see what this thing is going to do as we continue to develop it.

Great night for Dad, and a great step forward for the truck! 🏆🔥

Iowa last night for a BIG hook with Fantasy Pullers! 🔥

I’ll be the first to admit it… I personally s**t the bed. 😂 Definitely my worst outing in a while. But thankfully, Dad showed up! 💪

This was only the 3rd and 4th hook on his new big-block setup, and we knew there would be some questions.

The track was pretty loose for the first hook, and i didn’t feel like he had a great run… but apparently it was good enough. 😳

HE WON THE CLASS BY 10 FEET! 🏆🔥

What happened next? I’ll save that story for the next video. 🍿

08/30/2026

Made the trip up to Theresa to pull with PI and had a great time! 💪🔥

Mother Nature tried to make things interesting and we got rained on a few times, but the crew did a great job reworking the track and it ended up turning into a really good hook! 🌧️➡️🏁

We ended the night in 3rd place, just ONE FOOT away from 2nd! 🤏🏆 Even better, we tried a few new things with the truck, and it looks like the changes are heading us in the right direction! 👀🔥

Always learning, always improving, and we’re excited about what’s coming next!

Next stop: IOWA this Saturday! 🇺🇸🚛💨
