Since 2012, SMA has been helping people of all ages to become more confident, respectful, disciplined and empowered

We teach a blend of Traditional Tang Soo Do Korean Karate, Sport Karate, Kickboxing and Israeli Self-Defense.....But honestly, It is about a lot more than just Kicking and Punching. I’m sure most of you have heard the term, “it takes a village to raise a child”. At SMA we consider ourselves an integral part of the “village” that help parents instill life long character traits, leadership skills and habits in their children, such as confidence, respect, self-discipline, goal setting and the concept of striving for excellence. For hundreds of teens and adults, SMA has been - and continues to be - the place to go to let go of the day’s stresses and recharge. Our classes have a reputation for keeping you fit and focused while learning self-defense that could one day save a life. We cordially invite you to visit us and check out one of our age appropriate classes for yourself or your child; that is, if you are looking to try something new while having a blast doing it. We are masters of making it easy to get started. We are experts at making the learning fun and exciting. And most importantly, we are committed to being role models of honesty, customer service and good old-fashioned values. Visit www.sansmartialarts.com for more information

Save this before you set another goal you forget.

Three ways to make a goal feel reachable instead of overwhelming — we break every belt down the same way.

1. Break it into the next single step, not the whole outcome.
2. Track the small wins, not just the big one.
3. Revisit your "why" before you revisit the goal itself.

Nobody was watching when they stopped to help a newer student who was stuck on a drill.

Nobody asked them to. They just did.

That's the part that's actually hard to teach.

We've lost count of how many students have walked in nervous and walked out a little taller, and it still doesn't get old.

Save this for the next time the room wants you to fold — three ways to hold your ground.

1. Say what you mean in one sentence — no over-explaining.
2. Pause before you cave, even for three seconds.
3. Let the silence sit instead of filling it with an apology.

Training builds that backbone first.

We don't take it lightly when someone chooses to spend their evening here instead of on the couch, especially on the days it would've been easier not to. That's the choice that actually builds something.

Thank you for being part of it. 🙌

Save this for the next meltdown — three things that actually work better than "calm down."

1. Get down to their eye level before you say anything.
2. Name what they're feeling instead of telling them to stop feeling it.
3. Give them one small choice, so they feel back in control.

We use all three on the mat too.
