We need your help to support the Spec Corvette community. We are asking as many drivers as possible to submit letters to the SCCA’s Road Racing Competition Committee this week to demonstrate interest in making Spec Corvette a Nationally Recognized Class.

Instructions for Submission:

1. Visit [letters.scca.com](http://letters.scca.com/) ([http://letters.scca.com](http://letters.scca.com/)).
2. Enter your contact information and your SCCA member number (if applicable).
3. Under “Send Letter To,” select Road Racing Competition Committee.
4. Select Planning for the category.
5. Enter “Spec Corvette National Class Consideration” as the title.
6. Detail why you think SC should have its own National Class, details like when and why you started, how many other people you know are building cars or interested in arrive and drive programs, how many races you’ve done etc...

Feel free to use the following notes in your letter.

· Spec Corvette has a defined rule set.

· We have championed this class, independently of any sanctioning body, so hard for so many years showing significant growth.

· Most drivers are brand new to racing and SCCA. We haven’t poached drivers from other classes.

We believe if Spec Corvette becomes a Runoffs eligible class for 2027 there is a strong possibility of having 25 SC Cars at the Road Atlanta Runoffs.

🏁 2026 SCCA NATIONAL RUNOFFS – HARD CHARGER AWARD! 🏆

PATRICK HOWE | #3 SPEC CORVETTE | +9 POSITIONS! 🔥

Hard work pays off, and Patrick Howe is proof of that!

Patrick has been working tirelessly to perfect his craft behind the wheel of his #3 SPEC Corvette, and this past weekend at the SCCA National Runoffs at Road America, all that dedication paid off on the national stage!

Competing against some of the fastest racers in the country, Patrick put on an incredible performance, combining patience, racecraft, skill, and situational awareness to charge through the field and gain an impressive 9 positions! 💪

His performance earned him the SPEC Corvette Hard Charger Award, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Now, for those who don’t know, Patrick owns a sunshade company. Apparently, he’s just as good at throwing shade on the racetrack as he is at selling it! 😎☀️

While the competition was busy looking for shade, Patrick was busy putting them in his rearview mirror! 😂

Congratulations, Patrick! We’re excited to see what you bring to the 2027 racing season! The future is looking bright… sunglasses recommended! 🕶️🏁

After a week of competition at Road America and the SCCA National Runoffs, these three drivers came out on top in the SPEC Corvette National Championship:

🥇 P1 — Josh Carroll — National Champion
🥈 P2 — Robert Weston
🥉 P3 — David Holmes

Three drivers. Three podium spots. One hell of a race.

Congratulations to Josh Carroll on becoming the 2026 SPEC Corvette National Champion, and to Robert Weston and David Holmes for completing the podium.

This is what SPEC Corvette is all about: close racing, equal cars, controlled costs, and letting the drivers decide it on track.

The field keeps getting bigger. The competition keeps getting stronger. And we’re just getting started.

P3 AT THE SCCA NATIONAL RUNOFFS! 🏆🇺🇸

Josh Carroll showed up to Road America in full SPEC Corvette trim, running the Vitour P1 200TW street tire, and put it on the Touring 2 podium against the best in the nation.

And that’s what makes this one special.

Josh wasn’t running racing slicks. He wasn’t running a purpose-built T2 package. He was racing a full SPEC Corvette on 200-treadwear street tires against some of the fastest T2 cars in the country running Hoosier racing slicks.

P3 at the National Runoffs.

Putting a full-trim SPEC Corvette on the podium at Nationals is no small feat and says a lot about the car, the driver, and just how capable the Vitour P1 is when pushed at the highest level.

Huge congratulations to Josh Carroll and everyone involved. What a way to represent SPEC Corvette on the national stage.

13 Spec Corvettes. One very competitive T2 field.

Josh Carroll leads the Spec Corvette qualifiers with a 2:26.002 putting the #35 P3 overall among the entire T2 field at the Sports Car Club of America National Runoffs.

The field is set…Now it’s time to race at Road America .
