Big thanks to Coach Baethke from Coe College for stopping in. Took time to talk Highland Football’s future and how some of our 2025 guys would fit into their program. Managing athletics and academics were huge points of emphasis.

🍽️ Lots to be Thankful for at Highland! 🍽️
Our Huskies Football Program earned thirty-nine Academic Awards for the 2024 season. These include:
12 Academic All-District Honors. Earned by being a key player on the field while maintaining a cumulative 3.25 GPA in the classroom.
26 Academic Distinction or Excellence Honors. Awarded to members of the team who maintain top GPA standards for the 2024 Fall Semester.
1 Academic All-State representative.
These honors show the dedication our parents, admin, and staff have at Highland. It truly takes a community to build student-athlete success!
Speaking of community, we are so thankful for our Highland Huskies Cheerleading. They were on 🔥 this year with impressive stunts and amazing energy. Add to that the continually growing fan support we saw in 2024, making it a fun year!
It was an exciting Fall getting to see our guys and girls working together in so many arenas. We’re just as excited to see what this Winter brings! (We see you Huskies GBB 🏀😎)
Great things are happening at Highland. We couldn’t be more thankful for the support that makes it happen!

Big congrats to our Senior Strong Safety, Louis Horak, earning a spot on the Iowa Football Coaches Association Academic All-State Team!
Louis maintains a 3.93 GPA while participating in Football, Basketball, Trap Shooting, and Soccer. He is also a National Honor Society member at Highland.
Huge honor for Louis. A great representative for the culture our Huskie Football Program is building!
One more round of awards for tomorrow. Some great performances from our young men on and off the field!
