It's a brand-new day folks! Happy, happy Saturday! If you're faced with a decision on how to respond to a situation or person today I hope you will choose love. It's not always the easiest choice for us, but I promise you, it's always the right choice.

Missing my Yoga family today. In case you're interested, I still do teach Monday night zoom slow deep stretch ever since Covid! 6 PM California time. 9 PM Tennessee time. Message me if you would like to join.

“We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy. If we are to die in a minute, why not die happily, laughing? ― Swami Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras

The Harvest or Hunters full moon will appear tomorrow, Oct. 28. This full moon is also a partial lunar eclipse!

The name "Hunter's Moon" is believed to originate as a call for hunters to venture out and hunt in preparation for the colder months ahead. Farmers had reaped the fields during the Harvest Moon, allowing hunters a better chance of spotting fattened deer and other game.

Full Moons are a time for releasing and relinquishing. If you have an excess in your life, this is the time for it to go down the drain. Through silent meditation, exchanging of thoughts, or spiritual practice, Full Moons are a point when we can let go.

Eclipses are always helping us to shed the layers, to step into more of our authentic self, and to realign with our soul path. You can think of them as leaping points where we can step into a higher consciousness and reach a new chapter of our soul’s evolution.

Overall, there is a strong mix of potent energies in the air under this Eclipse. The end of October is destined to be a powerful time. Endings will happen. New beginnings will slowly emerge. Transformation will unfold. We may feel rattled, but the future is bright.

Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts.

Happy October 🍁🌻🍂🥮

The world is hurting. People are dying. We live our lives of privilege, unaware of (or ignoring) the pain and suffering surrounding us. Every day there are lives lost through battles in the streets, conflicts in governments, religious groups warring with each other.

One way we can help heal the world is to stay centered in a perspective of love. Choose thoughts and perceptions that keep you happy. We can change things only if we have the emotional energy to do so. Choosing to stay happy gives us energy to make others happy.

The sage Lao Tzu , has said:

“ If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the World, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation”.
