It always starts with the “Why”

Why do we choose to live the legacy of a Gracie Barra school owner?

For them...

That’s why.

Have you ever watched one of the most historic matches in Jiu-Jitsu?

In 1951, Hélio Gracie faced Masahiko Kimura at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro in a match that would become one of the defining moments in the history of our art.

More than its outcome, this match became a symbol of courage, determination, and the constant pursuit of growth. It inspired generations of practitioners and remains an important chapter in the evolution of Jiu-Jitsu.

At Gracie Barra, we believe honoring our history helps us understand our purpose and inspires us to keep building the future together.

That same spirit lives on through CompNet.

More than a competition league, CompNet provides an environment where students of all ages challenge themselves, develop confidence, and experience the values that have always been part of Jiu-Jitsu.

Because every generation has the responsibility to honor the past, grow in the present, and keep the legacy alive.

Competition is in our DNA. Keep the legacy alive.

🔴⚫ One Team. One Family. One CompNet.

Our GBK classes are more than just training. 🔺

It’s about building confidence, discipline, and friendships that last.

Jiu-Jitsu helps them learn respect, stay active, and grow stronger both on and off the mats!

Learning, growing, and having fun every step of the way 🌟
