Reminder that there will be no Ryan Bonaminio parkrun tomorrow (10/24) as the park is closed for a special event.

We'll see you on Halloween! Joe said he'd wear a costume, so if you were considering it, don't worry, you won't be the only one!

Event 100 (2026.10.17)
Happy 100 RyBo parkruns! We had some fun treats to celebrate, watched Gerardo PB for the 5th straight week, welcomed Priscilla, Miguel, and Isaac for their first ever parkruns, and welcomed Lara back to running from her ankle injury.

No milestones, but some round numbers to celebrate: 20 parkruns finishes for Hector and Val, 90 for Thom.

Speaking of celebrations, reminder that there will be no RyBo parkrun next week, but we'll be back on Halloween, then have another celebration the week after for our two year anniversary!

Thanks to Alex, Rachel, Lori, Murray, and Ernesto, this week's volunteers, congrats to all RyBo parkrunners and others in our great local community who ran at the Palm Springs Tram Road Challenge or the Mission Inn Run this weekend, and we'll see you on Halloween!

Event 99 (2026.10.10)
Happy first parkrun to Kelly, and congrats to Evan, Ben, Gerardo, Lola, and Oscar for their PBs today. Ben's finish was also the 2500th ever here at our parkrun!

Speaking of milestones, as you might have noticed from the event number... we'll be celebrating our 100th event next week, and 2-year anniversary in a few weeks on 11/7. Hope you can join us for one or both of those (there'll be treats!).

Thanks to today's volunteer crew of Rachel K, Lara, Alex P, Jamie, Lisamarie, Hannah, and Alex G, and a special shoutout to Hannah, who came to her very first parkrun today and proved a dab hand at handing out finish tokens. If you're keen to show off your own token distribution (or any other) skills, know we've always got a hi-viz vest for you!

One more note: there will be no parkrun on 10/24, as the park will be closed for an event. So we'll see you next week, then not again until Halloween!

Event 98 (2026.10.03)
Happy October (though it suddenly feels like summer again), and happy first parkrun to Hared, Lauren, Jason, Breanna, and Roman! Welcome also to Dan, who learnt about parkrun while on a trip overseas and came back home to find out there was actually one in the next town over. Always great when that happens :)

Despite the heat, there were 7 new PBs earned Saturday; congrats to Gerardo, Ernesto, Hannah, Camila, Whitney, Poppy, and Joe. Ernesto and Siobhan finished parkrun #30, and Bo finished #40.

This week's volunteers: Alex P, Rachel, Andrew, Siobhan, Jen, Alex G, and Jamie. Next week's... could be you! See you next week, same place, same time as always, and don't miss our big Event #100 on the 17th!

Event 97 (2026.09.26)
And that's a wrap for September, can you believe it? This month's consistency award goes to Bo, Kerry, Ernesto, and Hector, all of whom attended all four September parkruns here at RyBo. Bo is also riding the current-longest attendance streak of 9.

Welcome to Addison, Bronwyn, and Ava, who did their first parkruns last Saturday, and congrats to Julieta on her 10th parkrun milestone!

Eric, Oscar, Isabella, and Guadalupe joined us for their second parkruns, and earned PBs in their first time back. Congrats to them, as well as Evan, Hector, Hannah, and Lola. Special shoutout to Erin as well; no red PB mark on her record, but she exactly tied her original mark.

A great big thank you to Saturday's volunteers, Thom, Jen, Lara, Rachael, Jamie, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Jessica, and we'll see you at the next one in... October!

Event 96 (2026.09.19)
Happy first parkrun to Leo, Suzanne, Oscar, Rodrigo, Isabella, Leilani, and Guadalupe; and congrats to Evan, Ernesto, Sylvia, Melissa, Jessica, and Lola for earning PBs today!

Oscar had the special distinction of being the 400th different person to ever complete a RyBo parkrun. As of today, just about 50% of everyone who's done their first parkrun with us has joined us again in a future week. While that's a number that's the higher the better, we figure that's a pretty solid rate, especially since it doesn't include those who may have gone on to walk, run, or parkrun somewhere else!

Is it fall yet? Maybe I shouldn't jinx it... but it sure felt nice and cool yesterday morning, perfect weather for welcoming Eric, Karen, Bertha, Leticia, Erin, Hannah, Lola, Jennifer, and Amado to parkrun! Welcome -back- as well to Ulises, Melissa, and Rafael -- glad to have you back for round two!

Congrats as well to Evan, Judith, and Melissa for their new PBs, Mauricio for his 20th finish, and Bill for double-dipping in both categories with a PB and his 10th finish.

Shoutout to this week's volunteer crew: Rachel, Sally, Alex P, Jamie, Jessica, Alex G, Elizabeth, and Andrew. And thanks as well to everyone for filling up the roster ahead so early for Thom's RD debut next week! So we're looking good for next week, but would never turn down more help, whether for then or any future week. See you next time!

Event 93 (2026.08.29)
Happy first parkrun to Aeneis, Natasha, and Jennifer; second to Joe, and 40th to Jen! Joe PB'd in his first ever chance to, and Gerardo did so for the second time in three weeks.

With August's parkruns in the books, we can report that 7 people attended all 5 Saturdays here at RyBo: Jamie, Alex G, Bo, Mauricio, Gerardo, Siobhan, and Rachel. That's consistency!

Thanks to this week's volunteers: Alex P, Rachel, Alex G, Bo, and Jamie. Hoping for some cooler weather soon, and see you at parkrun again in September(!), same time, same place.

Event 92 (2026.08.22)
For the third straight week, there were milestones to celebrate at RyBo parkrun... and this week there were three! Three cheers for Ernesto's 25th finish, Alex G's 50th finish, and Rachel's 100th volunteer occasion! And another RyBo regular is on 24 finishes now, so we may make it four straight next week...!

Congrats as well to Rachel, Hector, William, and Enzo for recording PBs yesterday; to Mauricio, for his birthday; and a welcome to Joseph, who did his first parkrun ever.

Toby and Verity ran the 3rd-fastest male and 10th-fastest female times across all parkruns in the US yesterday. Toby's time became our new course record, the first sub-17 time recorded here, and Verity's was the second-fastest women's time.

Thanks to this week's volunteers: Liz, Siobhan, Jamie, Alex G, Rachel, and Alex P. If you're ever interested in what you can do at parkrun, please don't hesitate to ask. Even if you still want to walk/run, or even if you can't stay until the end, there are lots of ways to help out! (and it's a great gateway to get non-running friends and family involved too!)
