One year ago today, I had the pleasure of giving back to East Bay Youth Athletics Rec League by providing a free hitting camp to its softball athletes.
I started my coaching career 14 years ago at this league and on this field. This game has given me so much, so giving back was a no-brainer. Coaching fastpitch softball led me to an amazing network of servant leaders and gave me the opportunity to help develop the next generation of leaders in life through the athletes I coached.
It led me across the country for 5 years coaching elite travel softball for a national organization, the OC Batbusters.
It led me to the MLB, where I coached hitting instruction at the Diamond Kinetics booth during All-Star weekend in 2022.
It led me to V1Sport, helping launch Ground Pressure technology for baseball and softball athletes, college and Pro teams, and hitting facilities which was funded by Black Cat Ventures (Michael Jordan).
It led me to guest speak, coach and instruct at college programs, hitting facilities and travel programs across the U.S.
It led me to coach, guide, lead, inspire, and empower collegiate baseball and softball athletes as their hitting and mental training coach.
It led me to Mental Training Plan as a certified instructor.
It led me to Ryan Vaughn and 9 STRAP
It led me to coaching athletes of the Athletes Unlimited Professional Softball League. AUSL. And the newly former PSL. Professional Softball League.
It led me to coach. To serve the next generation. Whether it’s inside my current employer, on college campuses, or at the ballfield, I coach.
So, giving back to where my athletics coaching started, here at East Bay in Gibsonton, FL, was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made.
And Thank You as always to University of South Florida🤘former student-athletes (softball), Alanah Rivera Bailee Leistl & Allana Consolazio along with Missouri commit Olivia Ricciardi and my mini-me Sophia Hallock
for guest instructing that day!
