Sarah became a PADI OWSI with us in February, and we were delighted when she returned this summer to earn Instructor specialties! 🌟 In addition to advancing her own skills and knowledge, Sarah was a huge help during our August IDC. She supported the candidates with helpful tips from her own experiences, and assisted by role-playing 🎭as a student during presentations.

Sarah seeks out opportunities to learn 🧠 at every turn, and has the amazing ability to keep her sessions both safe and full of fun and laughter. 😁 She's keen to return again soon for more training and opportunities to help with classes. You're in for an amazing time if Sarah is involved in teaching one of yours!😍

Carla celebrated her 250th dive with us on Saturday Afternoon! Congratulations! 🥳🤿🎊

Flower 🪷 Garden was a nice easy dive. A Lemon Shark 🍋🦈 buzzed by the group at the beginning of the dive. Later on, a couple of Lobsters 🦞 were enjoying their hiding spots, while a Crab 🦀 was doing the exact opposite! Before ascending, a teeny tiny juvenile Trunkfish was swimming through the reef. 🐡🪸

At Fourth Window, we were greeted by a Loggerhead Sea Turtle, 🐢 which swam right up to the group! Later we enjoyed finding Flamingo Tongues,🦩 schooling Grunts and a couple small Goliath Groupers! 🐟🐟

Goliath Grouper made for an incredible dive this morning at the Princess Anne. 👑🛥️ We descended through the hazy vis into clear waters at the bottom, straight over three of them on the drift into the wreck. 🐟🐟🐟 After exploring the bow, we headed deeper, where a MASSIVE Goliath Grouper was hanging out under an overhang. It checked us out for a few minutes before heading further into the structure. A Hawksbill was sleeping in the sand off the side and headed out soon after we spotted it. 🐢

At the Corridor Wreck Trek, the Grouper made a return! 🐟 A large Reef Shark 🦈 did a quick swim by over our heads, but a large Royal Sea Goddess was deemed the crowd favorite after we saw it munching on some growth at the Ana Cecelia. It was even brighter than the rainbow we saw on the way out! 🌈

10ft vis at the top but 40ft+ at the bottom with a moderate North current and 86°.🌊

Monday we got to learn from Dr. Angela Collins, and Tuesday we got to dive with her! 🤿

We headed out to look for Goliath Grouper, 🐟 and our first stop was the Danny. One Grouper was at the bow, as well as two Regal Sea Goddesses. Three more of these beautiful nudibranchs were hanging out at the Spud Barge! One lucky person even saw a Loggerhead Sea Turtle 🐢 in Atlantis.

Over at the Corridor Wreck Trek, another Grouper was swimming alongside the Ana, as well as a small one in the Amaryllis. Even more Regal Sea goddesses were seen munching along the growths of these wrecks and the batteries of Barracuda on both dives made for an amazing morning. 🐟🐟🐟

We loved getting to hang out with Angela and hear about her research and findings on our surface interval, and we look forward to diving with her again! 🌊 Also thank you Oceanwildlifephoto.com for these awesome pics! 📸

Hole in the Wall was covered with Goliaths! 🐟🐟🐟 We counted over 30 on the reef. 🤯 It was an incredible with 70' of vis and lots of Bull Shark 🦈 sightings as well. Bottom temp was 75 degrees at 140'. What an incredible dive!

We're back out again with The Reef Institute! Its always a joy being able to support their conservation efforts, and today we were at their OG site, 🪸 where they performed maintenance on the corals and monitored the new growth! Diving offshore as much as we, we come face to face with the reality of coral depletion, making it extra special to witness such critical work being done. 🌎🩵

At the OG site, a small school of triggerfish wanted to play a game we didn't want to play... so we politely declined, and continued to enjoy our time with the baby corals! 🐟 After they completed the work at the first site, we headed over to Dugout, another out-planting location, where a Mantis Shrimp wanted to join in on the fun. 🦐 Here, they continued checking and photographing the growth, looking for signs of disease and predation on the sites. We also got to enjoy this full rainbow on the stormy day! 🌈🌧️

We had a blast at Coastal Karma Brewing with Dr. Angela Collins, of Florida Sea Grant, learning about her research on Goliath Grouper! 🐟

Dr. Collins taught us all about their biology, threats facing their populations, and how we can report Grouper sightings to help scientists collect data.

Congrats to our lucky raffle winners 🎟️🎁, and thanks to everyone who donated to support Angela's research. 🧪🐟 We raised over $300!

Teardrop💧provided us with some marine life not often seen today, like the Juvenile Trunk Fish so tiny we could barely see it. 🐡 A Golden Tail Moray was poked out of the reef and, a Green Sea Turtle settled in for a rest but made it very obvious she was uninterested in seeing us as she quickly got up and swam away! 🐢

At Fourth Window, we had two Goliath Groupers- one shy and one curious. 🐟🐟 A Green Moray 🐍 came out of its spot in the reef to check us out, and Scrawled Filefish stayed high up in the water column.

Vis was a fuzzy forty but blue at the bottom with a temperature of 88… though the top 20 feet was cooler with lower visibility for our safety stop. Trickle north current. 🌊

A giant Pufferfish 🐡 was the source of many smiles on our Sunday afternoon trip. It poked its head out of a rock and just stared right at us! The pufferfish sighting lead us into two Moray Eels hiding 🐍 out by each other at Teardrop.💧On our ascent, we swam through the most interesting layering of schooling fish. Spadefish schooled just below us, Bar Jack swam even with us in the water column, and Needlefish hugged the waterline right over our heads! 🐟🐟🐟

A Southern Stingray made an appearance for the second time on our weekend dives at Dive-O-Rama, and a singular Caribbean Reef Squid darted by us. 🦑 A Scorpionfish sat in the sand waiting for a snack, 🦂🐟 before we headed up from our dive to find one as well!

Another warm 87° day with a mild north current and 45ft vis. 🌊☀️

Sunday Morning was full of new Certifications.
Carah got her Open Water Cert, Amy finished her Advanced, and Justice and Jason finished their Deep Diver Specialty!! Congratulations!🎉🥳

A Hawksbill swam by to join the celebrations at Ron’s Rock 🐢 as well as two small Goliath Grouper. Yellowhead Jawfish popped out from the sand as we jumped to Middle Earth. 🐠

A Southern Stingray was keeping the attention of half the group as the other half were hanging out with a large Lemon Shark! 🍋🦈 Jasper also made his usual appearance before ending our dive at Fourth Window
