Good morning y’all! October is shaping up to be a busy one for pickleball around our area. The Roanoke Rapids High School SkillsUSA Club will host a fundraiser tournament at Rochelle Park (corner of West 3rd & Cedar Streets) in Roanoke Rapids on Oct 10. Last year we had a great turnout & a really fun day. The proceeds went towards feeding 50 children in need during the holiday season & the project won first place in the community service category for the East NC region & qualified for the state competition.

Format will be mixed doubles, double elimination. $30 per team

Then on Oct 24, we will host a fundraiser tournament to benefit ECU North Hospital at TJ Davis Rec Center (400 East 6th St) in Roanoke Rapids. Morning will consist of mens & womens doubles, then mixed in the afternoon. You can participate in 1 or 2 events. Double elimination. $35 for 1 event, $50 for 2.

Congratulations to our club members Dylan Waldron, Aaron Bell, & Jen Qualls on their showing in the PPA Veolia National Championships in Cary, NC this weekend!

Dylan & Aaron fell short of the podium in Men’s Doubles but fought hard against some tough opponents & the heat. Most important thing is they had fun, learned a lot, & showed great sportsmanship.

Dylan & Jen started Mixed Doubles dropping 2 out of their first 3 matches. They battled back through a tough bracket, winning 3 matches in a row earning them the silver medal. Way to go!!!

It’s officially tournament week for members Dylan Waldron, Aaron Bell, & Jen Qualls as they take the court in the amateur division at the PPA Veolia National Championships in Cary, NC.

Dylan & Aaron will play Saturday, September 5 at 10:00am for men’s doubles, then Dylan & Jen will play Sunday, September 6 at 8:00am for mixed. We’re proud of all the hard work & preparation y’all have put in over the past few weeks.

It’s tournament week for RRPC members Dylan Waldron & Aaron Bell as they travel up to Pouncey Tract Park in Richmond, VA to compete in the men’s doubles division at the Virginia Commonwealth Games. They will play Saturday, July 25 at 10:00am. Dylan will also play in the mixed doubles division on Sunday, July 26 at 10:00am. A podium finish will give them a bid to the 2028 National Games in Colorado Springs, CO.

It’s free for spectators if anyone’s interested in making the trip to watch & cheer on our players.
