Congrats to Sweet Baby Ray for being our June Member of the Month!!

Ray started her derby career when she briefly skated for Nashville Roller Derby around 2022 and has been with Twin Valleys since 2023. Her derby name is a pun related to her name and fits since she is the baby of her family! Ray loves derby for its inclusivity and the way it allows people to recreate themselves. Ray says "It's amazing to get to wake up and decide who you want to be instead of being put into a box the world puts you in." You can also find Ray on nature walks, stretching or at the parks doing park and trail skating!

Congrats Ray! As an important pillar of our team and leader on our board, well deserved!!!

Wish a happy birthday month to these outstanding members!!

TVRD was busy at Virginia Harm Reduction Coalition this morning doing some landscaping! We helped pull weeds, plant flowers and tomatoes, mulch, and install bed edging at VHRC’s building.

VHRC is a wonderful organization here in Roanoke. Their mission is to improve the health of the community they serve by advocating for, developing, and implementing evidence-based solutions to mitigate the adverse effects of drug use.
