A couple of runs from last Saturday. Ellie unfortunately didn't get point in hers, but she had a blast screaming at me for 2 minutes 🤣

Sabrina's is a 1 rat, REMX master B run

Back on rats for the last time this calendar year at Tail Waggin Events

💜 Ellie Mae is definitely day to day with her old lady body... she has some not so good leg days and I 100% let her dictate what she's doing each day. She is still getting FIRED UP for rats though! I brought her along knowing I would be assessing her every step of the way. If she was looking too uncomfortable or painful, I planned to pull her. She said "hold my Fresh Pet" and couldn't get in the ring fast enough each time. She came out in positive points in 2 of her 4 Crazy 8s runs, but she had 100% fun in every single one! I once again thank the judges and competitors for being so supportive of her, regardless of the outcome of each run. She loves this sport so much and I will let her continue for as long as she wants and is able.

💖 Sabrina Grace went 3 for 4 in Master B. All 3 Qs were REMX (under 2.5 minutes)! And she earned her first REMX title! This means she has 10 REMX runs in Master B (aka the champion class). I was a little bummed at first to miss that 4th Q because it would have been her RATCHX title as well.... BUT I thought about it for a second and there is an upside: she only needs 1 more Q for the title and she will have that opportunity at Branchwater next month ON HER SECOND BIRTHDAY! So, paws crossed!

Also on Saturday, Sabbie's bestie, Liberty, came for her first ever trial! She and Sheri did great! We are so proud of them and loved seeing Lib have so much fun! Can't wait to do more barnhunting with them in the future!

As always, thank you to Darlene and Jimmy for hosting and to judges Scott, Rayann and Art!

Rehoboth!

It was wet and windy 🥴 but at least Friday afternoon was nice and we got in a great lunch outside after dogtown setup!

💜 Ellie Mae stayed dry due to the icky weather. But she did get to go topside in her Super Fly Suit for the Delmarva DockDogs Hero Dog parade! This ceremony spotlights dogs 12 years and older. Ellie had a great time seeing her friends!

💖 Sabrina Grace had a successful event! She did struggle a bit with her sit again 🙄 but managed to win senior big air with a 19'3" in finals! She had two firsts and a third in Q waves as well. Her form in Speed looked a little bit better, I think. We will continue to work on it! She swam an 8.001, which is a perfect Express score..... however, she is Turbo titled 🤦🏼‍♀️🫠

We were so happy that Sabrina's sponsor, Above & Beyond Pet Services LLC came to this event!! It was so great to see them! We wish the weather had been better though 😔 thank you so much for your support through another dock season!

As always, grateful to Glenn Farm Retrievers as well for producing Sabrina!

We've got lots of friends on the road at some BIG competitions this weekend!

Best of luck to our friends in Louisiana for Super Retriever Series Crown Championship! I so wish we could have accepted our invites to be there with you!

Best of luck to our friends at NADD Nationals in Missouri!

And Best of luck to our friends at Barnhunt Nationals that is running in conjunction with NADD!

Keep those updates coming!

I promise a Rehoboth recap is coming! 🤣

But we have immediately jumped into focused training for Sabrina's Advanced Fetch Test!

Advanced level requires 2 double blind retrieves and 2 single blind retrieves at 70 feet from the start line. I'm using a local park to work on distance (though I didn't measure out 70 feet exactly). *Note: for the test, I will not be setting the bumpers. I will stay at the start with the dog while someone else sets. I just don't have a helper for practice.*

I very much also want to learn about hunt testing and field trialing to get this Glenn Farm Retrievers dog into those venues in the future as well!

It was an all brown dog Hero Parade with our beautiful yellow angel, Linen, watching over us.

We are honored to have shared the dock with these dogs over the years.

We are so grateful to Delmarva DockDogs for taking the time to recognize the old dogs, whether they are actively jumping or retired. I unfortunately did not get to plan a retirement jump for Ellie... her body just told her at one point that it was done with the drop from a competition dock and I didn't get time to prepare. I'm so glad she gets to be recognized at this event each year.

🎶 it's the most terrible time of the year 🎶

Handler is accepting drink donations in an effort to survive and maintain some sort of sanity until next May 🥴

One more dock event next month in Easton, MD!

Full update to come....

But an empty beach, literally right off the dock, means I made it an entire event without getting nailed in the shins with Sabrina's Dipndye Designs custom bumper 🤣

Sound down... there were gale force winds all day
