Black Belt Club met tonight and everyone did a great job. Sword training went well and everyone is on track. We ended with some wall fighting and have decided next month’s meeting will focus on more reality based fighting skills. This is where our Tang Soo Do foundation will meet Level one Krav Maga skills as we learn effective ways to defeat techniques commonly used by people fighting on the streets.

Our next parents night out will be a ton of fun as we try to survive a zombie outbreak. Maybe some one can even discover a cure. This event will be help October 23rd from 6-8:30pm at Tuckers Tang Soo Do located in the Greers shopping center. Cost is $25.00 per child and includes pizza, snacks and drinks. Ages 5-12 may attend. This event is set for October 23rd from 6:00-8:30 PM. Pizza,drinks and snacks will be provided. The cost is $25.00. This event is for kids age 5-12. If you want a spot you can claim your spot here or sign up in the dojang starting next week.

Blue Belt and Black Belt pre test workout will be this Saturday 8-9:30. If you plan to test this would be a good prep. This is optional and is available to all blue and black belts that would like to attend the workout will focus on test material. Pants and T-shirt is acceptable dress.

Here is an Awesome opportunity for any Red belt or higher rank that is looking to level up. ATR- Advanced Training Retreat is hosted each year by the Birmingham Academy of Martial Arts. The location is great the training is next level and there are plenty of fun activities planned too. You can sign up in the dojang by scanning the QR me code. If you have any questions see Master Tucker he is glad to explain everything. This event is also approved as the advanced training needed to test for Blackbelt and subsequent Blackbelt level levels. Past camps have included training in sword,staff,Escrima,Kama and knife. Other areas covered have been “tricking”, ground fighting, sparring strategies, judo, Krav Maga, archery, hiking, canoeing, ropes course, movie night, scavenger hunt and much more.
