🎯 ATOA STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🎯

“Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?” 💪

ATOA President Eric Blankenship stands alongside Tuskegee Police Officer Michael Britton, a student in this week’s ATOA Basic Tactical Operators Course (BTOC) Class 26-02.

Officer Britton began his law enforcement career in 1988 — long before many of his fellow classmates were even born!

But don’t let his age or years of service fool you!

Throughout this week, Officer Britton has not only kept pace with his younger classmates but has excelled in tactical training, physical fitness, and critical problem-solving exercises. His determination, work ethic, and willingness to learn have been nothing short of impressive.

Officer Britton is living proof that experience doesn’t replace training, and age doesn’t define ability.

In law enforcement, the day you believe you have nothing left to learn is the day you stop becoming better. Whether you’ve worn the badge for 38 years or 38 days, the responsibility to sharpen your skills, improve your tactics, and prepare yourself for the challenges of this profession never ends.

As long as you’re wearing the badge, you should be striving to be better than you were yesterday and working to remain at the TIP OF THE SPEAR! 🇺🇸

Officer Britton, we salute your dedication, your commitment to this profession, and your willingness to continue pushing yourself after nearly four decades of service.

That’s the kind of mindset that sets the standard for the next generation of law enforcement officers!
