RNY Ice Fishing Derby

Alright RNY ice fisherman and women. I am going to start a schedule for derbies in the area. I would like some input on where you guys would like to go. Please give me some ideas so we can get this going this year and have some fun!!!

Anyone interested in having a derby down at the ponds from shone Saturday

❌DONT FORGET❌ Register tomorrow on the right side of the boat laught 6am-7am. WEIGH 2pm sharp!!! We want every one to be safe and grow in a good derby! Hope to see everyone out there ice conditions are safe . ❌20$ to register ❌

Derby is on for tomorrow!! Ice is good and be safe out there ladies and gentlemen!!! Sign ups start at 6:00am and close at 7:00am. Derby closes at 2:00pm. Must be to weigh spot by 2:00pm. We will be to the right side of boat launch with with big red tent and a black tent. Hope to see as many out as possible. Again please be safe and have fun.

For the first derby that we held, we think went very well!! As you all know we will be working out all the kinks as we go. Thank you very much to those that attended the derby. With that being said we are sorry that we were unable to give the ice conditions on Friday night as some unforeseen things came up. We are taking the responsibility for that and we will assure you that will not happen again, as the ice condition is always very important to running these derby's to be sure the safety of our contestants. We are going to be holding the second derby next Saturday march 6th. The location will be Braddock's Bay and we will be meeting at the end of the boat launch on the right side where we are out of the fishing way, and allow the anglers to sign up and head out easy. We are going to start the sign ups at 6:00 am and the sign ups will close at 7:00 AM. Hope to see as many people out as possible. Thank you for understanding that we are new and we are going to run into some bumps but we assure you that we will work out all of the details as we go on. Tight lines and be safe!!!!

Payouts will be:

Northern Pike: 1st place 40%
Northern Pike: 2nd Place 10%

Yellow perch: 1st place 40%
Yellow perch: 2nd place 10 %

We will be putting on the 1st ever RNY Ice fishing derby Feb. 27th. Please contact me to let me know if you are in. We will be collecting money starting at 530 am on the 27th. I will let everyone know the location when we know how many people are in. Again we are switching places so every weekend we will be fishing a new body of water around the ROC. So please let myself or Mike know if your in and we will let everyone the location by Thursday night on this page. The first derby is going to be a $15 buy in and is a 100% payout. Again please let us know by Thursday night so we can inform the people where we are going to meet so people can plan for the derby. We will be doing a derby every weekend for ice fishing when there is safe ice. This is a 100% payback derby, and is for fun. There are rules to follow and the 1st and most important rule if you are going to bitch and complain then do not join the game. I and the people helping set these events up have enough on our plate and bitching is not going to be one of them. We want to have fun and maybe win some cash while doing this. Also we will be doing some different style weigh ins as well to switch it up and have fun. This is our goal, we want to meet some new people, learn different styles, have a lot of fun, and enjoy the time out. We are not doing this to make any money. we are doing this to make memories and to enjoy a day out fishing. Hope we have some good turnouts and most important TIGHT LINES BOYS!!!!!!
