I’m not gonna lie transformation photos scare me and I feel can be hard to take for oneself. Body image has been something I’ve struggle with my whole life. I’ve always have been curvier, heavier, and bulkier instead of slim athletic and toned. Now take a moment there’s something wrong with my sentence there. Curves heavier bulkier built is nothing to be ashamed of! And same to those who wish they were a little more curvier or less toned and so on. Everyone’s body is beautiful no matter what phase of life we are in! So instead of a transformation photo of my body I’m sharing my transformation of my mindset!!

Walking is a great way to kick start your physical health. Did you know that if you go for just a 5 minute walk at a moderate/intense pace can help improve your physical fitness!!

I challenge you to go out for a walk everyday even if it is only 5 mins!

Sometimes it is hard to get up in the morning. Sometimes it is hard to put on the smiling face that everyone is expecting. Sometimes it’s hard to follow up with the steps for the goals that are set. Sometimes it’s just hard.

And well LIFE is hard. But that’s why we are tougher. As long as we have wonder, hope, fun, and ahold of the good memories, that’s all we need to keep going. Life isn’t meant to be easy it’s is meant to teach us how to grow. So if sometimes you’re just not sure if you want to get out of bed or put that smiling face on or keep going for your goals know that you are never alone and the feeling is temporary for you are tough!

Why Coaching Wednesday?

For those who have been following along, I am a health and wellness coach. But if I was clear in my posting here’s my why.

Growing up I was a 3 sport athlete, constantly moving type of kid but once all that stopped when I got to college things kinda fell apart for me not only physically but mentally. I would workout because I felt as though I had to but wasn’t consistent and didn’t get anything out of it. I missed the team environment and structured workouts. So when my coach, who had been nagging at me about her business, reached out for the 3rd year about becoming a coach I finally said yes.

With this yes I said yes to learning to take care of my body again, regaining my love for exercise, brought me the courage to share my own struggles with body image and connected me with other women passionate about their health.

When I said yes, I said yes to my beliefs in exercise in nutrition being preventative health, promoting a lifestyle that anyone can have and sharing positive words bout body image.

When I said yes to coaching, I said yes to not only helping but supporting, encouraging, and joining others on a life long journey of bettering their health and growing more positively in themselves!

This is my why. This is my why coaching.

Alright y’all I’m setting the record straight I am terrible at New Years resolutions and let’s be honest who actually really follows through??? Instead of a New Years resolution I’m just looking at the month of January. Here’s my challenge for you!!

1. Make your health a priority everyday! Whether that’s your mental, Physical or emotional health doesn’t matter! Take time to take care of you!

2. Set yourself small attainable goals everyday! Whether that’s making your bed or finishing 2 water bottles or doing a 20min workout or folding laundry, small and attainable goals help us reach our bigger goals in the long run.

3. Let yourself have a day of rest, where you let yourself imagine lying on the beach in the sun or whatever your happy place is! Rejuvenation is key to balancing out that busy life.

Well I’m telling ya right now if you keep imagining and wishing for living healthier ya won’t ever actually see let alone FEEL the real impact it can have on your life!!

The days I don’t workout, fill my body with nutritious meals, and challenge my mind with personal development are the days I typically feel the lousiest!! Honestly!!!

Why struggle on your own when you could have a community of people specifically there to helping you with your own health and wellness goal while working towards their own health and wellness?

Wow last day of November… honestly this month was a rollercoaster. I really hurt my back. I resigned from my RA/CNA job. My subbing paperwork finally went through and I substitute taught for a couple weeks. I turned 23 years old. Celebrated thanksgiving in my aunts new house. And now I packed up my life from my childhood home and found myself in Rochester where I will be for a year maybe more who knows!

Change can be very hard but the thing that has been helping me keep my head up was my family, my coaching community, and the phrase “I can do hard things” from my personal development book, the slight edge.
