As we head into the second half of August, we want to give everyone plenty of advance notice about our annual Summer Break so you can plan accordingly.

Closed: Monday, August 31 through Labor Day, Monday, September 7th

Classes Resume: Tuesday, September 8th

Before the break, we'll conduct our monthly "Progress Checks and Belt Testing" during the week of Monday, August 24. We encourage everyone to attend classes regularly over the next few weeks so students have every opportunity to demonstrate their progress before vacation.

A quick reminder: NEMA Dojo will be closed from July 2nd to July 5th for the 4th of July weekend. We will reopen on Monday, July 6th.

Thank you so much to all the awesome dads and families who joined us for our Father’s Day Karate Workout this past Saturday at NEMA Dojo!

We thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the laughter and camaraderie among the dads and their kids as they trained together on the floor. We had a fantastic time, and we sincerely hope that all the dads and their Karate Kids had an equally enjoyable and rewarding training experience.

We truly appreciated the opportunity to celebrate with all of the dads in our Dojo community. Thanks you for being a part of our NEMA Dojo family!

Thank you so much to all the amazing moms and families who joined us for our Mother’s Day Karate Workout this past Saturday at NEMA Dojo!

We had over two dozen moms and their Karate Kids on the training floor, and the energy, laughter, and spirit throughout the class were absolutely wonderful. It was a great experience seeing moms and kids training together, encouraging one another, and simply having fun together.

We hope you enjoyed the class, the pink belts, and the roses. Our staff truly appreciated the opportunity to celebrate all of the incredible moms in our Dojo community.

The event was open to all our NEMA Dojo moms and because it was such a success, we would like to invite all our moms to a special FREE Women’s Self-Defense Workshop at the dojo.

Date: Tuesday, May 19th
Time: 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM

This beginner-friendly class will focus on:
• Awareness and personal safety
• Easy-to-learn self-defense skills
• Confidence and mindset
• Practical strategies for real-world situations

No experience is necessary, and the class is designed to be fun, supportive, and low pressure.

Participants are welcome to bring a female friend; however, class size is limited to 20 participants, so advance registration is recommended.

Congratulations to Our New Black Belts!

This past Saturday was an exciting day at Northeastern Martial Arts Institute as four dedicated students tested for their Black Belt rank.

Black Belt is not just about learning techniques—it represents years of hard work, discipline, perseverance, and personal growth. Each of these students demonstrated outstanding skill, spirit, and determination during their test.

We are proud to announce that all four students passed and earned their Black Belt!
