September 1st - the beginning of childhood cancer awareness month, and the day our “”forever little” Ashley received her angel wings (2013). It’s hard to believe that Ashley would be a senior in high school this year. She danced with Sarah, Bella, and Averie, and is remembered fondly by each of them. Yesterday Bella showed me a picture of her Senior Backpack & what did she choose— a golden Belle -a memory of Ashley who loved the disney princesses!! Gold - a reminder of childhood cancer!
Please stop and take a moment and say a prayer this month for Ashley’s family, and for all of the little warriors fighting this horrible disease! I continue to pray for a miracle to end childhood cancer and all cancer!💛💛💛

The end of the month, but also the beginning of a new season!! Exciting times! We’re almost ready for a new season of dance here at MSSOD! This past weekend we had our Faculty Kickoff Meeting, our Season Opener for our Company dancers, and today our Assistant gathering!! Faculty members have their schedules and classes, and now our assistants were chosen where needed!! We cannot wait to begin!!

Congratulations to Kiera, Sam, and Danielle- our 3 MSSOD dancers who auditioned at Univ. Buffalo this week to become members of Zodiaque - the University’s Dance Performance group. Kiera is a Senior this year & it’s her3rd year in this group. This is the.first year that Sam and Danielle were eligible to audition & they were both selected!! Congratulations girls — can’t wait to see you all perform together again!!💜💜💜

Ballet students regularly spend one to three (even four) years at the same class level before moving on. This is 100% normal, and we dance teachers do not expect dancers to spend only one year in a level. There are numerous concepts and vocabulary steps that dancers need to master within each level. Allow students the time to work through them and grow!

Looking for. Musical Theatre class for your child who loves to perform?? Our MT classes on Tuesday evenings helps to gain confidence needed for auditioning in a school play, or community event. Some of our dancers enjoy cheer when they are not dancing!! Dancers always make fabulous cheerleaders!! Cheer has begun! Vivian and Hadley are cheering for Greece Cardinals, Angelina and Norah are cheering for Aquinas youth!! Aquinas began tonight & Angelina received the spirit stick on night one!! My dancers always make me proud in and outside the studio!!💜💜💜💜
