Empire Tennis Academy is excited to bring an extensive offering of Pickleball Programming for both Adults and Juniors commencing June 19th and running through August 29th with programming offered both at Dinkers Pickleball Facility located in East Rochester and at The Harley School located in Brighton.
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and if you are not familiar with it, Pickleball is a very fun sport that combines the elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It can be played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton-sized court using a net that is slightly modified from tennis.
Pickleball is played with a paddle and plastic balls with holes, and is fun for players of all ages and ability levels. Our Pickleball Program will offer both Adult and Junior group classes, weekly drop-in clinics and private lessons.

Our new session will commence on Saturday 11/5 and run through Friday 12/2. Entry Level Players ages 5-8 play on a 36’ court using the red progression tennis ball. By using the appropriate sized courts, racquets, and the age specific tennis balls, Empire Tennis Academy helps kids quickly experience success in the sport while also learning sportsmanship, teamwork, and the skills they need to become athletes. Empire Tennis Academy is very excited to announce the commencement of our 2022 Summer Pickleball Program. We are teaming up with Pittsford Parks and Rec to host a variety of programming for both adults and juniors at Thornell Farm Park. Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and if you are not familiar with it, Pickleball is a very fun sport that combines the elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It can be played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton-sized court using a net that is slightly modified from tennis. Pickleball is played with a paddle and plastic balls with holes, and is fun for players of all ages and ability levels.

Programming will commence on the newly constructed and fully lit Pickleball Courts at Thornell Farm Park on July 5th. We are offering 20 group lessons for adults and juniors of various levels with morning, afternoon, evening and night classes. These four-week classes will have a July Session as well as an August session. Course descriptions for all levels from beginners to advanced can be viewed online.

Aside from group lessons, we are also offering private lessons, weekly Adult Supervised Matchplay on Saturday mornings, Friday Evening Junior Pickleball Parties, and Friday Night Adult Socials. This month's promotion is for the siblings! If you have two or more children, and sign each of them up for our summer camp, you will receive a discount. Purchase at least one week (full or half day) of summer camp for the first child at full price, and receive 10% off the second child, and 20% off for the third child. Arthur Ashe was the first and only African American to win the US Open, Wimbledon, and the Australian Open. He was well respected in the tennis community. He was a strong advocate in giving back to minority communities and providing opportunities for children of all ages and backgrounds to learn the game of tennis.

With the weather turning the corner and we approach the outdoor season, we have begun to offer our Saturday morning Adult Game Arranging! This is our 4th year of Game Arranging and its popularity continues to grow. Join us on Saturday mornings from 9-11am for round robin match play of singles and doubles. Players must be at least 16 years old and be able to consistently serve and keep score. Cost is only $10 and is limited to 14 people.
