🏑Sunday 18+ Pick-Up Sports
7:30am-9:30am
$7/Rochester resident, $10/nonresident, or free with 50+ Activity Membership
Includes floor hockey, basketball, and pickleball

🏀FOG Reservation
45-min blocks on each court from 10am-11:45am

We have just received word that the Doctor will be unable to join us for the 50+ Walk at Pickering Ponds tomorrow, 9/11. Instead, Walking Club volunteer Karen will lead the group on the 1.8-mile loop.

There will not be a carpool for this event. Please meet directly at the trail head on Pickering Road at 11am.

⚓🌊What a day at the Isles of Shoals!🌊

Our Rochester Senior Activity Center crew had a wonderful time exploring beautiful Star Island on foot, and we were very pleased the weather stayed beautiful for us!🌞

A HUGE thank you to Guyer Travel Network for setting up this incredible trip and making the entire experience so enjoyable! And for also giving a presentation during dinner and showing some artifacts from the Titanic! 🚢

And of course, no coastal adventure is complete without some delicious seafood!
🦞🐚We ended our day with an AMAZING seafood boil at Petey's Summertime Seafood & Bar- the perfect ending to a fantastic trip!

Each skater will learn to skate by learning the basics in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. As a skater improves, they will progress through the LTS levels learning new skills.

Ages 5-12
Sessions run:
Saturdays, 9/19-10/10 | 10:30am-11:15AM
Saturdays, 10/24-11/21 (no class 11/7) |10am-10:45am
Saturdays, 11/28-12/19 | 10am-10:45am

No Toddler Play Group on Friday, 9/11. Play Group will resume next Friday, 9/18.

This is a program for kids preschool-age and under to come play at the Rec! Caregivers must have eyes on their child/ren at all times and are encouraged to actively play with the child/ren.

Time: Fridays, 9:30am-11am
Where: Rec Gym Court 1
Who: Program open to Rochester Residents only.

4-Week Youth Volleyball Training Program for kids entering Grades 1 -8 this fall.
Come to the Rec Dept for our Youth Volleyball Training Program! Practical skills and drills will be taught and built upon as the program progresses.

Date: Saturdays, September 19 - October 10

Times:
Grades 1-2: 9:00am-10:00am
Grades 3-4: 10:30am-12pm
Grades 5-8: 12:30pm-2:30pm

Location: Rec Dept. Gym inside the Foley Community Center - Entrance B

Registration will open September 1 @ 9:30am and close September 17 @ 4:00pm, unless spots fill sooner.

Cost: Rochester Residents - $60; Nonresidents - $80

There will be no Kundalini Yoga on Wednesday, 9/9. Class will resume as usual 9/16.

Kundalini Yoga is a drop-in program open to anyone age 16 and older. The cost is $7/residents, $10/nonresident, or free with a 50+ Rochester/Community Activity Membership. The program is held on the second floor of the community center in the Senior Activity Center. The program will be held from 6pm-7:30pm on 9/16 but will switch to a new time of 5:30pm-7pm starting 9/23. 16+ Iyengar yoga will also switch to the earlier time of 5:30pm-6:30pm starting 9/21.

Start your day on the ice and take your skating to the next level! Early Morning Skating Skills is designed to help young hockey players improve their skating technique, balance, agility, speed, and overall confidence on the ice.
The program offers separate sessions for middle/high school-age skaters and grades 1–5, with a maximum of 6 skaters per session. The small-group format allows for individualized coaching, detailed instruction, and greater observation of each skater’s development.

Fridays, September 18 – November 20
Wednesdays, September 16 - November 18
Grades 6-12 held 5:45am–6:35am
Grades 1-5 held 6:45am-7:35am

Participants may register for either Wednesday or Friday and will receive 10 weeks of focused skating instruction for $200 per skater.

Registration opens 9/1. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged!

All Rec facilities, including the Arena, will be closed on Monday, 9/7 for the Labor Day Holiday. 18+ Volleyball will be rescheduled to Wednesday, 9/9, so there will be no Family Open Gym that day.

Due to the election, there will be no programs at the Rec Center or Senior Activity Center on Tuesday, 9/8. Programs at the Arena will be held as usual, including 50+ fitness classes.
