Using velocity based training with two athletes, each with different performance goals.

๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ In season track athlete - target velocity 0.8-0.9 m/s
โ€ข this zone prioritizes speed and explosiveness while minimizing fatigue so sprint performance isnโ€™t negatively impacted in season

๐Ÿˆ Off season football athlete - target velocity 0.75-0.85m/s
โ€ข this zone pushes heavier loads to drive force production, strength and power while maintaining intent to move explosively

If youโ€™re not measuring bar speed, youโ€™re guessing.
Guessing leads to :
โŒ too heavy on speed days
โŒ too light on strength days
โŒ training that doesnโ€™t match intent
