Good luck to all my friends and clients competing in the Otter Creek Horse Trials this weekend!
I can vouch for this mare- solid, sweet, healthy, and sane! Hunter type who everyone loves around the barn.

Finishing up a week in Ocala- lots of learning- mostly about equine nutrition. We have a wonderful community of equine nutrition consultants (Legacy Equine Nutrition Advisors) who learn together and support each other. It was great to spend time with them and our fearless leader Rachel Mottet . This week we went to a conference, visited several farms (including Conway Arabians), a horse feed mill, and we even had an organic chemistry lesson.

Nerding out at Equine Health and Nutrition Conference in Ocala. Lots of new information about vitamin E, helping horses with muscle atrophy, and heat stress! And we are only a half a day in!

7 year old WB gelding for sale
Louie (sire: Don Principe damsire: Aristotle) has show experience through 2nd level (scores up to 70 at 2nd) and is schooling 3rd with changes started. He is very very quiet and reliable- even in the show ring. He could be a para horse- light in contact, super smooth gaits that are easy to sit, and not reactive/spooky. His nicknames are “Mr. Perfect” and “Grandpa” because of his even keeled temperament.
Louie was professionally started and has been ridden and shown by an FEI trainer including successes at regionals and finals in 2025. He has been used as a lesson horse and trail horse and is very trustworthy. He can go on trail rides, you can pony off him, put anyone on him, pop him over some jumps, or go get good scores in the show ring!
He has super smooth “Cadillac” gaits and an easy to organize canter like his sire. He has more whoa than go- so the rider does need to be a little ambitious about encouraging the forward.
Louie has always been healthy and sound - an easy keeper that is fine barefoot and on a ration balancer with no supplements. Gets along in a mixed herd and can live out 24/7 or is super chill in a stall. Hauls, clips, ties, etc- no vices or quirks.

The CSDEA Awards Banquet (named "Horse Prom" by my husband) was super fun this year! It's so great to see our show friends all dressed up! It's also fun to celebrate everyone's successes from the season. Panda (and Louie) had very good results in Training level, 1st, 2nd, freestyle, and Panda won the locally bred dressage horse division (congratulations to breeder Suzy FitzSimmons!). Thanks to the CSDEA for all the work that goes into hosting this. Also thanks to Nexus Saddlery for keeping these young horses in saddles as they both develop!
When I came home with all my awards my husband asked if I was the prom queen? I sure feel like it right now :) Not all seasons go so well so I'll celebrate this one!
