All Martial Arts America dojos will be closed today, Monday, January 26th, due to the weather and state of emergency. Everyone stay warm and safe.

The action was fast and furious at our in-dojo tournament yesterday! The competitors showed great intensity skill and respect as the did their katas, sparring and board breaking. Congratulations to all and many thanks to all the volunteers who helped.

Saturday is our tournament at the Brighton dojo! Kata and board breaking for Tigers and white, yellow, and orange belts, kata and sparring for everyone else. All participants will earn at least one medal. Use the link below to register.

Tigers and White, Yellow and Orange Belts (Juniors 6 - 12 yrs, old)– 12:00 pm
Green Belts through Brown belts – 12:45 pm
Junior and Teen Black Belts, and all adults/all belts – 1:45 pm

All dojos will be closed tonight due to weather. As a reminder, our policy is if schools close and cancel after school activities, we close as well. Everyone be safe, and we'll see you Saturday.

In case you weren’t able to grab one at the dojo, here is our annual holiday super challenge sheet. Just fill in all the tasks over break by practicing your karate and helping out arou the house, and we’ll have a special patch for your gi when you return in January. Happy holidays!

Our instructor and CIT team had our annual holiday outing at Arcade 80s in Penfield yesterday. We have a great team and everyone had fun! Thanks for all your hard work in 2025! Looking forward to a great 2026!

Martial Arts America is collecting winter coats
for the Dimitri House.

Dimitri House is an outreach to the poor and homeless in the
Rochester community, with an emphasis on the belief that ALL
persons deserve dignity and respect, along with food, clothing,
and shelter.

We are accepting gently used donations of hats, coats, gloves
and boots (men’s & women’s only).

Please drop off items by December 15th at any of our 3
locations.
