A few of our studs wrestling at The Hammer yesterday held by the Boilermaker RTC. Plenty of matches and a bunch wins. They watched Purdue win all 3 of their duals, saw some Indiana Boys, and got a picture with my buddy Brian Anderson, who is the Director of the Player Personnel with the BRTC.

Two really good options for any kid wanting to wrestle! Take advantage and get your wrestler started with the Rochester Zebra Wrestling Club or, if you’ve got a wrestler that is ready to really get after it, bring them to Unchained Wrestling Academy (Unchained is open to wrestlers from any school district).

We have an Academy Store up and running through the Winning Edge. From now until September, we will only have Summer items along with Academy Singlets. The store will stay open until July 28th, then close so all orders can be processed. Orders will take about 3 weeks to be completed. You will receive an email when your order is ready and pick it up at the Winning Edge.
The store will open back up on July 29th and stay open for another two weeks. We will repeat this process every two weeks so orders can be processed and get to you in a timely fashion. Once we get to October, we will change the items in the store to more of a Fall and Winter selection.

Congrats to Serenity and her dad! Awesome job!!
Today was a good day at the . Baseball schedules, summer schedules, and life sometimes messes with our attendance so today I just had these 2 guys. Great kids…going to be great wrestlers.
A little background…29 years ago I started coaching their uncle, . That was the beginning of a pretty special relationship with the Burkett family. I taught all of their aunts and their mom and dad. One aunt and their mom were managers for me. The Burketts, Zastrow’s, Schultz’s, Bohr’s and Newton’s are awesome people and it’s very fulfilling to coach the next generation.
Days like today are one of the reasons I decided to continue coaching. Not for money, not to get back at anyone, and not to prove anything to anyone…I just wanted to have days like today. Running UWA has been so much fun and I have enjoyed every second of it so far! But, today, being in a position to keep the circle going for the Burkett family and getting into some important wrestling/life skills…it was a good day!!!

Looking forward to starting our Summer Series on Monday, June 2nd.
For the beginner’s (grades 1-6), we have a new class that will focus on the basic skills of wrestling and technique that works! If you’re brand new or have 1-2 short seasons with your team/club this one is for you! June and July…3 practices per week, 24 total practices. 9-10am. M, T, Th.
For the experienced wrestlers…we have 3 options:
Girls (grades 3-12): Two practices per week. We have a great group of girls…join us and level up your wrestling! 3:30-4:30pm, T and Th.
Boys (grades 3-6): We have some hammers in this group! If you have 2-3 years (not seasons 😉) of training, this is your group! 3 practices per week! 10-11am. M, T, Th.
Boys (grades 7-12): On a regular night we have a state placer, state qualifier, semi-state qualifier, and Fr/So runner-up. I know we will be adding to that list! 3 practices per week, 4:30-6pm. M, T, Th.
