Minnesota Dutch Lions FC

We are pleased to welcome Katharina Baumann to her first season on our Minnesota Dutch Lions WPSL team.

The 6ft experienced German defender played for University of Northwestern Ohio several years ago where she won with the team the NAIA national championship in her sophomore year and reached the semi final her freshman year. She returned to Germany after college where she played for several top level clubs like VfL Herrenberg, VfB Stuttgart, SC 2013 Bad Neuenahr, Bayer Leverkusen II, Eintracht Frankfurt, Fortuna Köln and FC Köln II. Katharina also holds a UEFA B coaching license.

Katharina made her debut with the team last Sunday and already made a great impact and brought a lot of experience to the team and we are confident she’ll continue to do so the rest of the season.

As the only women-only club in our area, providing great opportunities to female youth players is always our top priority rather than the usual male-focused other offerings.
So, we are proud to offer a unique opportunity to competitive female youth in our area at the “Path to college soccer” girls camp that we will organize with the assistance of a great female D1 coach who was herself a standout player at a powerhouse D1 school where she was two years team captain, selected three years first team all-conference and United Soccer Coaches first team all-region among her many other accolades. You also top off that camp experience with attending our WPSL match vs Mankato United which kicks off shortly after the camp ends.
