North Carolina Disc Golf Hall of Fame

The finalists for the 2026 Class, as determined by a vote by the nominating committee, are determined. 110 (10 per member) were cast and the top 10 plus ties based on percentages of possible votes (since committee members cannot vote for themselves) have moved on to the finals.

The final vote will be casted by all existing members of the hall of fame and these 11 committee members from this ballot of 10. The procedures for how the class is selected is published to the top of this page in a google doc.

A few adminstrative updates:
Per our charter, the Adminstrator is elected to a two year term. The first term expired in 2025. The committee, per the charter, votes on an adminstrator for the upcoming two years.

Robert Leonard was nominated and elected to serve as adminstrator through 2027. He accepted and will continue to serve as adminstrator.

Nominations for the 2026 class are now open and will run through the end of February. Please contact your local representative if you have a nomination you would like considered.

The Hall of Fame announced this weekend that in partnership with CADL, we will be starting the North Carolina Hall of Fame Classic.

This B tier event will be in Cary annually on Labor Day weekend and will feature the induction ceremony and honoring all members of the hall.

It’s induction week!

The ceremony to induct 2024 member Steve Lambert and the 2025 members Sam Nicholson and Brian Schweberger will take place roughly at 1:30 PM this Saturday (12/13) at Diavolo.

All are welcome.

We are also making a huge announcement regarding the future of the NCDGHOF.

The next induction ceremony takes place at the CADL championships - register here if you want to play. But you certainly are welcome to attend without playing. The ceremony will also be live streamed on this page.

CADL Inc. Presents: The 2025 CADL Championship CADL Inc. Presents: The 2025 CADL Championship is a PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournament in Cary, North Carolina beginning December 13, 2025 and hosted by CAPITAL AREA DISC LEAGUE INC.

We will be live streaming Brian Schweberger’s World Disc Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony on this page, pending cell signal.

The ceremony begins tomorrow (Wed) at 6 PM, but we will not live stream until his part so unsure of when we go live.

The 2025 induction ceremony will include our 2 2025 members (Brian Schweberger and Sam Nicholson) as well as a 2024 inductee that was unable to make the 2024 ceremony (Steve Lambert).

This induction will take place after the first round of the CADL Championships at Diavolo on December 13, 2025. All are welcome and no admission / tickets are required.

Each year after voting is complete, the Committee reviews the procedures they used to determine if the charter needs to amend. After the 2025 voting, the committee voted unanimously to make the following adjustments effective for the class of 2026:

- The committee alone will complete an initial round of voting of all nominated persons to determine finalists; each committee member must select 10 finalists from the ballot.
- The top 10 vote recipients plus ties are named finalists.
- The committee and all members of the Hall of Fame are finalist voters; to be elected, you must receive at least 2/3 of the vote from this panel.

The charter for the Hall of Fame is always available and is pinned to the top of the page. These changes along with all tiebreaking and incomplete voting procedures are included.
