Refs miss calls and make mistakes every single game. But here’s the part most people don’t want to admit: it’s not just because they’re “bad.” According to ESPN, 80% of new referees quit within two years and the #1 reason is rude or abusive parents and coaches. When we run refs off the field, we’re left with fewer refs who have less experience and make more bad calls.
